Did you check the voltage at the socket, and for corrosion in the socket? Also, the center pin in the socket is spring loaded, and may be stuck too far in to make contact, or you may be inserting the bulb the wrong way.

all 4 blinkers, front and read. dead. fuses good is first check them. hazards dead , again all 4 corners of the car. older post.

Never heard of a parking brake automatically engaging. It does suffer with sticking brake cables. Are you sure the driver didn't step on the parking brake pedal? It is what I would have done and I have practiced it a number of times! You press the pedal a second time to release it. It was because it was for a Cutlass Supreme as I stated. $6 on eBay, no free ones.

Foot on the brake and rack through the gear selector a few times back to park. That should release the key. Then with a can of WD40 with the red tube, squirt it into the key slot until it bubbles out.

Run it through the rack from Park to Low 1 and back. If it doesn't release after that you need a good auto-electrician. Also sounds like you have a faulty ignition switch.

If you look on line you will find pumps are different.
