The motor in the top of the machine should rotate the gear sticking out of the top of the cabinet when you turn the switch on. This gear should connect with a gear on the top of the shaft that sticks out of the kettle when the kettle is in the correct upright position and turning the stir rod.Make sure the kettle is installed correctly, and the switch is in the on position. If the motor is not turning with the switch on, it is broken and should be returned to store if possible. There are no repair parts for this brand popper, and they cannot be repaired.

Drizzle the chocolate over the popcorn after you pop it.

Double check the corn measurements, and adequate power supply. Other then that you have to return it, you cannot repair that brand.

Nostalgia does not have repair parts, return the machine to where you bought it.

I have a model 464 and my problem was similar but mine was the second digit.I replaced the p c board in the selection control box and my problem was gone.I would check the selection control box.Hope this helps

I have a Popcorn machine from Nostalgia too that had this problem. I cleaned it out and everything but it still had the problem of the it getting stuck. After days of analizing, I found the solution. after a while the ceiling of the popcorn machine starts to fall in, lowering the handles of where the kettle goes. making the knob that turns being lower that the one that makes it turn, causing it to get stuck, all I did is add so leverage so the kettle is once again at the same level or higher. Making it turn with greater force and not getting stuck. In other words make sure the turning mechanism is leveled and not one lower than the other. preferably the kettle part being higher.

See if the gear at the top of the kettle rod is "jumping" and not allowing tehe stirrer to rotate properly. In my machine, this was caused by a broken black guide at the atop the two gears. The guide is screwed into place. It allows the gear to slide in and out as you rotate the kettle, but it also has to prevent the rod from moving back and forth or the gears will slip

Your power cord I would follow into the machine and hunt for a broken wire or a blown fuse possibly. Most pop corn makers are just about like a coffee pot. They have a klixon to control the temp and a couple of bullet fuses in line to prevent over heating. All of which is loacted on the base of the kettle. I wish I could be there to help ya get that popcorn popper working.
