How do I program a norstar t7316e phone to call long distance?

Unless "Set Relocation" is turned on (usually is / should be OFF), plugging a set into a different jack gives it the extension # and programming of that jack. Press Feature * 0 and an Intercom key to find out what the new extension # is, and program that extension to allow long distance. Or change the cross-connect to physically put the old port on the new jack.

How to get incoming calls to two handsets

The system should be configured so that the desired lines, whether CO or extensions, are set to "Appear and Ring" on each set. Config... Terminals&sets... Show Set... (enter #)... Find...Line Access... Line Assignments... Show Line (enter #)... set to "Appear and Ring" on each set that needs to ring. You can also have a line "Ring Only" without an appearance (dedicated button), in which case it will show as an intercom call.

Is there a mute button on the T7316E norstar phone

Have you tried another handset or especially another handset cord? Those problems are usually poor connections at the small modular connectors for the handset.

How do I fix a no line selected on m7310?

That means you have no lines associated with your set have your administrator do a set copy from a phone that has lines on it. Try intercom 9 for now to see if that works

It\'s in system programming: feature CONFIG, Terminals & Sets, enter ext #, Prime Line: set to I/C (for intercom dial tone) or Line xxx. It is probably set to None based on your description.

We have a phone that will not ring with external calls. How do I fix this?

It's a system programming option (via Feature ** CONFIG ) - the lines have to be set to "appear and ring" on that set. Not user set table.

Feature codes

Does the two-line display say "Line in use" when you try select the line, or is the indicator next to the line button lit (so to speak), or both? First, try Feature * 0 then press each line key to see if they really are assigned to lines 2 and 3... they could be other functions or multiple appearances of another line.

Currently my phone has 2 extension numbers: "0" for reception (me) and "242" for my colleague who replaced me for awhile. How do I redirect her extension # to her phone and leave mine with my extensio

You need to (or have someone) remove the line appearance of 242 on your phone. Actually your phone should also have a 3-digit number, likely 221, and the system knows that dialling "0" goes to that set. Feature *0 lets you check what all the keys are. If you don't have 3-digit extension, then 243 may actually be yours.
