Hi there, most of the time, the technicians leave these Programming Overlays in the box, or in a box next to the telephone system.
You can look up these overlays via Google, or look for the programming template. We cannot tell you which buttons are for what, because each button can be programmed as something different on every set.
But here is a non-picture of the template...
Now you
will have to look at your LCD for 3 arrows
<- Heading....Enter->
<- Back .......Next->
You will not see these words in the LCD display, you just have to look for
the 3 arrows that correspond.

Low microphone volume on M7208
This is a problem
Hmmm, sounds like you may need to replace some equipment. If they are using the handsets, I would replace the handsets first (lots on eBay). Then, if that doesn't fix the problem, try handset cords, then replace the phones. You can also just upgrade your system since these phones are pretty old.
Meridian M7310 Phone.... Handsfree Mute button is
You will need to enable it in programming. Access programming by dialing Feature **266344, then using 266344 for your password. Your password may be different. Contact your phone company for more details. Scroll to "General Admin". Scroll to "Permissions". Enter set number. The first option is "Full handsfree:N" Press CHANGE to set it to "Y". Scroll to HF Answerback and adjust it to "Y" to complete the process. Press Rls to exit programming.
Meridian phone ringer too loud
You can adjust the ringer of your Nortel phone by dialing Feature *6, then using the volume bar to adjust the ringer while the tone is playing, or dial Feature *80 to adjust it there.
Pickup Group?
The extensions must be added to a ring group and the the number programmed to ring that group
