Using a Meridian M2616 spearker phone set
You are picking up background noise as well as what you are trying to say. The mics are sensitive if you are moving papers or have a fan blowing that will cause the issue you have described
I set up Hunt Group
Without having the programming manual on hand for this switch I have to generalize from other switches. Double check your auto forward settings within your hunt groups. It sounds like you have auto forward set wrong. If you have the voice mail set to engage on the 4th ring try changing that to engage on the 6th ring with the forward within a hunt group to forward to next available on the 3rd ring, see if that helps.

+ extns will appear, press line 6
- Find
ext number, type number and the name will show up
- Press
line 6, line access will appear

line 7 twice and change will appear

the name then press line 1
End session and save

Norstar meridian displays "message for you"
If you have no messages in your mailbox then someone has accidentally sent you a message from their phone set. You can usaully clear this by using the options in the display to delete all messages or try these feature codes
The Feature button is the gray button that looks like it has a globe on it located under the display.

Reset Norstar M7310 System Administration password
This works, i just did it today!!
Press Feature 985
Press the 9 Key
Enter RESETSMPSWD (73738767793) using the dialpad
Press YES
Once you have RESET the password, it reverts to the default.

If your system uses 2 digit extensions use 120000
If your system uses 3 digit extensions use 1020000
If your system uses 4 digit extensions use 10020000
