It will display who sent the message and cancel it at the same time.

Not too sure if you really need that dial 0 point, since the calls are already ringing in on the receptionist desk.

You can create changes and make a hunt group, with an over flow with another hunt group, which will rings specific people, and if there is no answer the over flow can go to a voicemail or auto attendant... more programming than I would like to type.

Simple solution: Make sure that everyone that you want to answer the calls, they are in the same pick up group.

Then if the people that you want to answer hears the phone ringing, they just have to dial Feature 75, this is group pickup.

To find out if the people are in the same pick up group:
-> go into the system programming
-> TERMINALS&SETS and enter the extension
-> find CAPABILITIES and enter
-> hit next till you find Pickup grp: this will have a number and ensure that all the sets you want have this same number.
-> rls to back out of programming.

This way anyone that hears the phone ringing can answer anytime they want.

It is not possible in IP 2002 Phone.
You can only see the name of dialed number & your name will be shown on other phone when it will dial to you.

This should be changed from PBX side and not from Phone.

Log 1020000
Mbox
Add or Change.
When you get to mailbox enter the extension # of the new telephone.
When you get to extension number-enter the same extension number.

You can either turn on CAPS Lock or hold the shift key while typing. Have you already tried this?

Make sure you're using the correct console cable...if it's not wired correctly, hyperterminal will continue to give you a blank stare no matter what you do. A great way to verify your cable is to try it on another switch that's working ok. Your hyperterminal comm settings should be 9600 baud, 8 data bits, one stop bit, no parity, and flow control disabled...assuming no one changed the default console settings on the switches.

If you are still having trouble getting a prompt from the console, you can try the following procedure, although this is only known to work on earlier versions of the Baystack switches...

Shut down the power and wait for about a minute. With hyperterminal connected...turn on the power and type "NetICs" (don't include the quotes) within 15 seconds of turning on the power. This should place you in a privileged mode and allow you to use the menu to reset the switches to factory defaults. Good luck!

Hi from the command line interface you will need to login and then type enable (enter) configure (enter), interface fast ethernet all (enter), no shutdown port (port #). There are several ways to get Visio for cheap. If you are a student, there are discounted versions available online and in stores. Also, you can check with your school for even cheaper options sometimes. Try the university bookstore if available. Or a Computer Science department maybe.
