It is possible that your shaver does not turn on or move because it is dirty. There can be hair or dirt particles stuck inside it, causing the shaving heads to be blocked. Philips says that the HQ8 fits the 7845XLon the product page here: https://www.usa.philips.com/c-p/HQ8_52/norelco-shaving-heads . However, Philips also says that this blade/head is discontinued and replaced by the SH50. This replacement does not appear to be compatible with the Quadra Action 7845XL.
