Nordictrack treadmills stink and so does their customer service. Depending on exactly when your mom bought the machine there is a small chance that there is a warranty. In the back of the manual it will list the warranty info. Check that with the date of purchase and see if any parts are covered. If they are then call Icon (the manufacturer) immediately. If it isn't under warranty then you are pretty much out of luck. You'd have to replace the console which is at least $500 but could easily be over $1,000.

Hi, I have a Nordic Track T9ci treadmill. A couple

Sounds like you have a bad motor controller. If your machine is over 7 years old you'll also need a new walking belt.

Tread mill wont turn on.

Dear Sir:
Thank you by your problem, I will help you inmediately.

Make sure that the power cord is plugged into a surge suppressor, and that the surge suppressor
is plugged into a properly grounded outlet . Use only a single-outlet surge suppressor
that is UL 1449 listed as a transient voltage surge suppressor (TVSS). The surge suppressor
must have a UL suppressed voltage rating of 400 volts or less and a minimum surge dissipation
of 450 joules. The surge suppressor must be electrically rated for 120 volts AC and 15 amps.
Important: The treadmill is not compatible with GFCI-equipped outlets.

2)After the power cord has been plugged in, make sure that the key is fully inserted into the console.

3)Check the circuit breaker located on the treadmill
near the power cord. If the switch protrudes as
shown, the circuit breaker has tripped. To reset the
circuit breaker, wait for five minutes and then press
the switch back in.

4)Check the on/off switch located on the treadmill
near the power cord. The switch must be in the on
position.

I hope you resolve this. Otherwise, try to reach me. Inmediately.

sincerely.

Calibrating incline voltage

It sounds like you may have a shorted potentiometer. I would recommend replacing the VR (Potentiometer) Assembly. I have located it on the manufacturers website for $32.50, part number is 1200-28. If the nylon gear is broken, that part number is 6005-37. If you need the diagram, here is the link: http://sportsartamerica.com/saf/support/technicalsupport/diagrams/1200.pdf and the link for the parts list/order page: http://sportsartamerica.com/saf/customer_service/CS_pages/PartsList.aspx
