I've experience this problem before, its most likely an R4 corruption. Although you can try other versions of the R4 firmware.

Sounds like you need to send it in for repair. I had sent my console to VideoGame911.com and they repaired mine at a great cost and got it back at the end of the week. Give them a try, they are cheaper than a manufacturer. Good luck!

There's really no way to fix that unless if you dropped it. The DSI doesnt really have lines in it though. If you dropped it, its impossible to refix it because the screen is sorta busted. You can try to ask the creator of the DSI (Contacting Nintendo).

hi Rebecca, what are the symptoms of it not charging??? . does the light flash for a second then turn off. How about if you move/wiggle the charger where it plugs into console??

You could have blowed the internal fuse on the board. If you turn on and the light on the right top flashes then goes out you have blowed the fuse. Easy to repair just google it there are plenty of pictures showing its placement. I have fixed before with a new fuse available on eBay for pence or you could use a small bit of fuse wire to bridge the fuse. Hope this helps you out

You can try to buy a new one or you can use a light material such as a cotton swab. Replacing a pen with a new pen might be hard but use a light material or a fine material but nothing very sharp or sharp. Gentle just touch the screen.
