Wobbly cameras on quality tripods -- stripped screw mountings?
Sounds as if the tripod socket in the base of the camera is too shallow for the thread on the QR plate. You can undo the split ring that holds the screw in the plate, and fit a washer beneath it to shorten the protruding screw. What I do is keep a plate permanently attached to each of my cameras and camcorders, so that I do not have to continually remove it to put another camera on.
On/off switch loose
Not an easy fix you have to pull the top cover off the get to the switch and there some soldering to be done along the way,
Cannot focus when dark
Unfortunately, most auto-focus systems require some light to focus with. My cameras have a "focus assist" light that throws a grid of lines out so it can focus. My wife typically covers this light with her hands, and so can't get it to focus in the dark. Check for that.
No shutter action
Set the lens f/stop to the largest number such as f/22 (smallest diameter). Many cameras with automatic exposure must have the f/stop set to the largest number on the lens, or turn off auto focus do manual focus.
Replace battery ML-L3
On the back, on the straight side you see a 1 and a 2. With one finger move the lip where the arrow points to, and with the nail of your thumb in the long slit, move the battery holder out.
That is all.

Can I get user manual for Nikon MB-40 multi-power battery pack for F6 body?
I think the extent of the instructions is on the Nikon USA web site. Here it is
"The Nikon MB-40 Multi-Power Battery Pack accommodates eight AA (alkaline, lithium, or Ni-MH) batteries, or the Nikon EN-EL4 Rechargeable Li-ion Battery.
The MS-40 Battery Holder comes with the MB-40. With the MB-40 attached, film can be advanced as fast as 8 fps.
When using the EN-EL4 battery, the Battery-Chamber Cover BL-3 must be used.
The MB-40 is also a vertical grip, and features a vertical grip shutter release, an AF start button, and Multi-selector and Command Dials for more comfortable and responsive shooting."
What type of film does a n60 slr camera use
The N60 uses standard 35mm film (also known as 135). 35mm film usually comes in 12, 24, or 36 exposure rolls, any of which will work. 35mm film is available in black-and-white, color transparency (color slides), and color negative (color prints). It's also available in infrared, both color and black-and-white, but the N60 will not work with infrared film.
35mm film is available online and at any camera shop. Many department stores, drugstores, and even supermarkets also carry film, though not as wide a selection as a decent camera shop.
