Nikon Teleconverter

You could probably use either a 1.4 x or a 2 x, depending on how much you wanted to increase the focal length of your lens. A 1.4 x would give you a range of 98-420, a 2 x would give you a range of 140-600. Having said that, teleconverters are not usually recommended for use with zoom lenses, and you would lose one stop with the 1.4 x, two stops with the 2 x, thus necessitating longer exposures. Also, with the increase in focal length comes an increased probability of camera shake being more apparent, due to the increased magnification. In your position, I would attempt to get closer to the subject, using a teleconverter as a last resort if this is not possible.

Why can't I get my flash to pop up

Are the controls set in a position that does not allow flash? For example, in some scene modes, flash is excluded, as it is in S or A modes. Also, if your camera has a flash control, make sure it is not in "Flash off", a lightening bolt with a diagonal line through it.

Tried to connect firewire to Pc via firewie to USB adapter. This caused total camera failure. Will not power up even on AC adapter or other batteries

Fire wire is old and never competed with USB. They may be able to transfer data, but you probably fried your camera. Possibly due to older USB format.

R05 problem using d70, camera will not take a photo in autofocus

It is actually an error message generated by your compact flash and means that the card is no longer readable. A lot of D70 owners have reported this error without being able to find another solution other than reinserting the card or changing the card to a different brand. You could also try cleaning out the memory card slot and check to see that all pins are aligned and not bent.
Good Luck,
Jeff

Battery cannot be used on this camera

Nowadays, some camera mfrs are protecting their equipment by ensuring that no third-party batteries can be used (presumably by incorporating some kind of firmware check). They say that using generic batteries will invalidate your warranty. You may have to spend the extra and get an own-brand battery, which should solve the problem - hopefully.

I took pictures without realizing the date was on.

Once embedded in the picture, there is no simple way to remove the date mark.

However, there are lots of image editing packages that are able to remove unwanted parts of a picture in a computer. It takes a bit of work, but it is worth learning how to "photoshop" pics, as you can improve them in many ways, even removing unwanted lampposts or parked cars.

My Nikon D3200 says shutter error can I fix this issue myself?

hi, did you charge your battery full ? if the battery is not charged enough, it will not drive the shutter opener motor perfectly, and if any type of dirt or friction on the shutter drive gears this will happen, please check the shutter movement by removing the lens.

Is the Tamron AF08N700 auto focus with the D90?

Good morning. You have likely already gotten an answer to this, but yes, it will. Unlike less expensive models such as the D40, D60, D3000 and D5000, the D90 has a built in autofocus motor, which means that all Nikon F-mount autofocus-lenses (except two for the rare Nikon F3AF) can be used in autofocus mode for all newer generation autofocus lenses like the Tamron 200-800. However, you may want to look around a bit, as Tamron has come out with a new 150-600 lens that is simply terrific (I know, I own one) and the Big Sig from Sigma is equally great. FYI Good luck.

Will take pictures for a short time, then why does pushing the trigger have no response?

Hi Robert, I am thinking of one cause but first you will have to answer a simple question for your self before proceeding. "How old is your camera?" If it is old enough, the problem you are encountering is technical and you will surrender your camera to a qualified technician/ camera service center for proper check. Digital cameras are electronic equipment; thus have component parts such as capacitors, resistors etc that are almost dead. the first time you power on, they work fine but as the heat builds up, those parts stop working completely. that is when you cannot take any more pictures. Only trained technicians can fix that kind of problems.

Installing a internal battery for the Nikon D70s

I have not done the replacement yet, but I can tell you where the battery is. It is located underneath the USB/Power connections on the left side of the camera. There are several covers and boards to remove to get to the battery.
