Bought a new 2009 yzf 450 ,how do i check engine
On the side of the engine casing you will see a black rubber/plastic cap. Unscrew it. you will notice it has a dip stick attached to it with two markings. The bottom line is the minimum oil level and the top is the maximum oil level. Good oil level should be some ware in between.
Run the engine for a about 30 seconds while it is on the center stand on level ground so that the engine is horizontal to the ground.Open the dip stick cap only after the engine cools for about 10 minutes. Wipe the dip stick with a dry cloth and then dip it into the engine with out screwing it shut. Pull it out and see what is the oil level indicated.
Breaking in involves riding the bike under 40Km/hour the first 750 Kms. Also remember to vary your speed as often as possible and shift gears too as often as possible. Do not ride at a constant speed for long.
Change the engine oil after 750Km's the first time after that every 2500km or 5000km according the to the grade and brand of oil you are using.Do not rev: the engine a lot ( or go at high speeds in excess of 50Kms/hour ) for the first 2500kms.
Starting then it cutes out and back firers and
back firing is caused by un burned fuel passing through the system and not being burned in the cylinder correctly , many things cause this, incorrect timing, is the biggest cause, however since you have a toy,, according to the header in the question, a New RAy Suzuki Vinson 500 1:12 scale, is a toy, that has no motor that actually works,
If the header is wrong and you need info on a REAL quad,, reply to this message and I'll assist you
My exhaust temp is extreamely high like the bike
jetting would be 45 pilot and 165 main jet but this changes dramatically depending what altitude you ride at - you might want to check your fuel air screw it should be 1.5 to 2.5 turns out from fully closed
If you are running to lean you will get a very big clue when you ride it the bike will backfire, pop and crackle every time you come off the throttle.
Also might be worth mentioning your header pipe on any YZ four stroke will always glow red especially when bike is idling. These YZ's are deigned for only one thing go hard and fast which gives them heaps of air flow for cooling but if you notice your header red when you pull over or leave it idling minute or two then thats pretty normal
Cheers mate let me know if you want more info etc... Good Luck!
2003 kawasaki kx 125 shifting
there is a shift pawl mechanism that may be damagedor bent!
make sure the gera lever is tight on the shaft & if it is ok the check inside the side casing for faults
Cheers Rob
