The orange descaling light on my Nespresso is on but when I press it to descale it flashes with the icon above it then the whole machine switches off ?

Take out the water container and check that the capsule drawer is empty. Try it again. If still no go, check the Owners book or online to see if there is something else that needs to be done.

Coffee pod stuck in machine

These machines are designed to use only Nespresso capsules. The UMilk, particularly, is susceptible to jamming if so-called "compatible" capsules are used, as the capsule is pierced electroncally, not manually as in most of the Nespresso range of machines. Hope this helps, Rob.

Nespresso citiz won['t exit descaling mode

After speaking with Nespresso, I suspect that the previous answers are coincidences rather than solutions. The issue, according to Nespresso (and which I've now confirmed through testing) is that the Citiz tends to overheat when you run this much water through it. You will notice that the blinking lights go from a fast blink to a slower blink when this happens. At this point, you need to simply wait for the machine to cool down - eventually, the lights will switch back to a fast blink, and you can now take it out of descaling mode or run another batch of water through it. Nespresso says this takes about 5 minutes - in my experience, it's closer to 10 (I haven't timed it, but it's slow to cool). So patience is the rule of the day!

Aeroccino does not heat

Try descaling, if the element is covered with scale it wont produce enough heat and pressure.

The machine is Krups, and therefore should be covered with one year warranty. Call the number listed on the user manual, or find contact from websites below:

I have a Nespresso Lattisima and all four lights are blinking four times in quick succession and nothing is working. I've tried emptying it out and it's done that, but still the same problem.

Your machine has almost certainly entered the water quality mode. (Water hardness setting). This is very easy to fix. Switch machine off. Before switching back on press and hold any off the following buttons: Latte Macchaito (top right) for soft water, Cappuccino (bottom right) for medium water or finally both of them for hard water. While holding the correct buttons switch the machine back on BUT hold for approx. 10 seconds or until all lights stop flashing, (APART FROM THE BUTTON YOUR HOLDING). This will reset the machine and you're good to go. Regards Coffee Engineer!
