Sounds like a Philips. Had same problem. I used the actual arrow buttons on the monitor itself and while it was scrolling I kept hitting the arrow the opposite direction of the "scrolling" it locked on my PC signal. I can't use the remote or see my surveillance DVR at least I can use my PC. Oh I smacked it real hard the angrier I got! Funny thing it's worked fine for 5 days now. Just Sayin'

Are the settings on the video output correct? Is there a green or orange light illuminated. There is a difference between the Power LED and the Signal LED which is green. If you have no signal the LED will remain orange or yellow but not green. If the LED is green, then a signal is getting from the PC but not necessarily good. Check the signal with another monitor or TV if you can. Check the cable.

To help you troubleshoot the issue, please follow the instructions mentioned below,

-Check if monitor VGA cable is connected properly from the monitor to the computer connector.
-Make sure Power button is switched ON.
