It may be the spray tubes are spinning backwards, if you can tilt them in the opposite direction the sprinkler will go the right direction. Mine is that way so yours may be the same.

Are you having power blinks? A real problem in my area. If so, replace the lithium battery inside. A little more hassle to get to than the AA batteries (but not impossible), but quite possibly the problem.
