the only other setting that could turn the led off is if you enable blocking mode and you check disable led indicator (found by long pressing blocking mode in the pull down window). do you have any apps that could control the led lights like light manager? if so, try uninstalling it or checking its settings. if you dont have an apps like that, have you tried installing one to see if it works?

The Versa SX battery is an old battery, so it is possible that it is dead and can not be recharged anymore.

While in the BIOS setup utility, go through the tabs/menus looking for BOOT sequence. Configure the laptop to boot from CD-Drive before any other drive. Have the installation CD in drive.Save the changes made to the BIOS configuration, and exit the BIOS. Reboot. If the installation medium itself does not have a problem, you should be able to boot from it and have the opportunity to install the operating system.

Hi, Sounds like a generic video card driver was installed. Go to you manufacturers website and download and install the proper driver for your Model and Operating System. Good Luck

Well, BOOTMGR can't "compress". Maybe you mean it's corrupt or bad. You will need to "repair" it using your Windows install disk. Boot with the disk in your DVD drive and follow the onscreen instructions.

The BIOS may not support that model. Go tot the manufactures web site and seek out update BIOs for your model.
