Naxa LCD television not turning
Check to see if you do get the DC voltage feeding the Inverter board for the power and the Backlight ON command signal from the main board first, if you do then the inverter board is bad.
First, look at the screen in darkened room to see if you can see any slight glow from the screen, if it does, then the problem can be the T-CON (not getting the 12vdc) or the main logic board not feeding the signals to the T-CON board.
if not, next place to check will be the power supply module, make sure it has 24vdc which is required by the backlight inverter to work, the reason for not having 24vdc can be from bad DC filter caps (leaking/bulging top, high ESR) or short circuits in the inverter board which will cause the 24vdc supply to go into shutdown mode, so you may have to disconnect the power cable that feed the inverter board to see if the 24vdc will work without the inverter board hookup, you will need to apply about 3~4 amp of load to the 24vdc to make sure it can handle that. There are fuses on the backlight inverter boards also. So there is some troubleshooting you will have to do to find out the causes of the problem you are having.

Not coming on
do you have CDs or most of files back up on your PC / laptop? if yes we can continue on... plug device up to PC, go to my computer open it... we only want to copy the software and hidden software too (no media files) and save in a temp folder on the pc... once we saved all the software to that temp folder on the PC... go back the the device right click and format (yes format will delete every thing on the device) say okay.... this should take 30 sec to a full minute...once format is complete, that software we saved go get it and copy (re install) back to device. Now it is like new all over again, you can add all your files back again....... note if you have recently downloaded files don't put those on they may be damage or corrupt .... have fun and enjoy

Make sure that the Albums were downloaded with the correct media converter so that the player recognizes the files to play. If not these have to be loaded back to the PC and reconverted to the readable type of the player.

Mp3 player naxa nx 124
I have found that mine looses it's memory due to a dead battery. I have to connect it to a pc, format the player just like you would format a usb thumb drive. When you power it back on, it will flash the memory and rebuild the play list. Sometimes, it will loose my music, but all I have to do is load them back out to the player. It's kinda a hassel, but I don't care because I change the songs on it on a regular basis anyway.
I have a NAXA NX-820.
I can help you with your NAXA NX-820 DVD player problem.
It sounds like your need to reset your dvd player. You are asking about component to S-Video, but I would want to be sure than the 'progressive scan' feature is also turned off on your DVD player - if the TV is not set up to receive Prog Scan then you will only see a blank screen too.
One way to reset most consumer electronic devices is to unplug them for 10 minutes or so.
I am posting your manual to the Fixya site now, and will comment back asap regarding model-specific factory reset procedures.
I hope that helps.
When I plug the earphone
Hi, this is a very common problem, after you have pulled the ear phones in and out a few times the solder on the earphone socket becomes brittle and breaks making you lose the connection with the circuit board, now as you have ruled out it being an earphone fault then the only possible problem could be the solder.
now sometimes if you wiggle the earphone at the part that goes into the mp3 you can sometimes get the sound working again, but this dont always work so dont rely on this,
now the problem you have is that the cost of getting this part fixed would cost a lot more than buying a new mp4 player.
the cheapest place to try and get this fixed is a tv repair shop, tell them exactly what the problem is so they dont have to test it and see how much they will charge you to resolder the earphone socket back in place properly.
that would be the cheapest option and could possibly get it working again if they will do the work for you
im sorry their is no easy fix but without getting the earphone socket re-soldered it will just never work
let me know if you need further assistance ok
