At the bottom of the N40i is a small switch with 1/0, switch it to 0 (off) position, before switching back to 1 (on) keep your finger pressed on the silver "on" button at the top of the unit and this will reset your Navman N40i
No GPS FIX
my navman trackfish 6600 gps is aquireing and will not give a gps fix ,I have also had the screen ghosting when I enlarge the area with no detail, the unit is 4 years old .
My GPS losses satelite if my MP3 is also connected
I'm thinkin that ur fm transmitter is interfeering with ur satilite signal. solution i suppose would be to purchase head unit that has sat and mp3 plug in capatible... or stop using ur fm transmitter while ur using ur gps.
NAVMAN F20 failure - unable to detect internal memory
Hi,
I think that the micro SD card inside the GPS is not in the good position, it is necessary to remove the grey sticker on the rear of the GPS and open the hood to access the SD card and then you can plug it in good position.
DAMS
I have a Navman s35 but these days it cannot
I had the same fault which corrected itself after a couple of months left in a drawer. I suspect it reset it self after the battery went completely flat. You could try removing the battery switching on and off a few times to remove any power still in capacitors and then refit battery. Then Reset

Map update for f 300
Hello Solomon! You can find all of the latest Navman maps for the F300 here:
http://www.navman.com/shop/index.php?cPath=123Unfortunately, the main page refers to the "Newest 2011 Maps" so I have a feeling they have not been updated yet this year. Good luck, and happy navigating! Feel free to comment if you have any more questions.

Charges at home on a usb port but not in the car
Hi Carl,You should check your car's fuses to see if the one that supplies power to your USB charger is still good. If you're not sure how to do this, you could try plugging a different device into it and see if it works. If it doesn't - you'll need to inspect the fuse or wiring. (you could also try the charger in a different port or different car to see if the issue is tied to the charger). If the other device does work, it is possible that the charger has a built in fuse. If the charger is the type that plugs into your cigar lighter, you may find the the tip holds the fuse. The tip may reveal the fuse if unscrewed from the body or may require a screw driver to open the body. Either way, you'll need to ascertain if there is a fuse in it and if so, check its condition.Sometimes, the charger needs to be aligned a certain way in the cigar lighter / power port (or outlet) due to the way some automakers and device manufacturers design the connections. Repeatedly remove and replace the plug in the lighter / port. Each time, turn the the plug slightly so that it takes 6 to 8 insertions to rotate all the way around in the outlet. This should provide at least one position that allows the plug to make the required contact in the lighter / power port.Lastly, make sure that there is no foreign object / debris in the outlet, that the the plug fits snugly in the outlet, the the plug's tip has a spring pushing it forward and that the plug is fully inserted into the outlet.Hopefully, one of these suggestions will get it working. Good luck!
F20 navman error
You need to remove the 2 screews from the bottom and then gentley prize the unit apart from teh bottom using a blunt broad knife will help if you cant have the plastic case splitting tools which are used in the trade,
then once apart the same side where the power button is you will see a microsd card its the same as in a mobile phone just pull it down from the top (its hinged at the bottom) then make sure the card is in correctley and then close it back and test (b4 putting the case back on) that will fix it we ahve a lot of these coming in and its where its been dropped etc and jumps out thats it

I reset my F series, now it tells me
unfortunately, per C-Net's review page at "http://www.cnet.com.au/navman-f20-339272352.htm#comments" there may not be any software available as that these units are now "obsolete". but there does not seem to be any "free" software at all.hold it! just found the software page from the company at "http://www.navmansupport.com.au/All%20Navman%20FAQs/Software/F%20Series.htm" for this unit. could not find a "direct" link to the download, but you may have better luck.it would seem that there are drivers in windows for this ( according to what I saw on the site)on some further searching, it seems that there is a sd card in the side that may be loose, check that out, too!
