I have A cocktail Mrs

Your coin op video game most likely has electronics that are deteriorating due to age and dust. It's actually a pretty common occurrence with older coin op machines. Components like capacitors degrade over time and eventually the electrolyte leaks out, contaminates the PCB, and the analog and power support circuits fail. The dust that builds up on the PCBs absorbs moisture from the air over time and can eventually bridge electrical contacts causing shorts that can lead to all kinds of problems. Your best option IMO is to simply look for a local arcade and coin op machine repair service. The Internet should be a good place to start. If you are still having difficulty finding someone to repair it, simply ask around at any arcade or other location near you that has coin op machines and they should be able to point you to people who repair them.

No power from board to monitor

Check all fuses and power supply to the board. The monitor uses a seperate circuit, thus comes on independently of the board.

Check all plugs to the monitor, and all grounds. You should be able to get a manual online of this unit.

I have a new arcade cocktail table with 60 games

I feel your pain. BUt if it were me, I"d call the company that you bought this lomon from and demand your money back. I t is obviousyou paid big $$ for it, now, they want You to be the troubleshooter and fix it yourself. SInce you are not a tech, you need to tell those A holes that you wil lnot attempt to fix something that is their fault. After 2 days, they should picp up the unit, or send another one. IN fact, I would not want another item from this company.

If you paid by credit card, or PayScam, you may have recourse in getting a refund.
I would strongly suggest that you DO NOT work on it anymore. That is not your job.

Please don't just shrug this off, feeling ripped off. DO SOMETHING about it, demand your money back as you did not get what you paid for. There are laws in every state that say that a piece of merchandise has the expectation to perform as it is stated. You should NOT mess with it at all.
So, don't roll over and let these idiots take advantage of you. Make the call and tell them to send someone out to fix the damn thing, or take it back. I know you've waited many years for one, but this is not it. Those mods are all over the place for sale, so don't think you have a one of a kind item. There are others, from more relaible sellers.

Hope this makes sense to you and you stop fooling with it yourself.

Let me say that if you mess with it, they could say thet YOU messed it up.
. So leave it alone.
Good luck :)

Are they in the same state you are in?

When turned on it goes to a count down

Is the service switch turned on?

Have you checked the DIP switches to see if they are in the right positions? IIRC< there was a setting to keep the game from booting and in diagnostic or freeze mode.

Do you have the manual for this machine? There is one online for download free.

The sound loads, but no picture at all.

HI Kristen,

IF you can "play" the game blind, that shows the game board is working fine.
The issue can be in the monitor. That can be many reasons there is no picture .Check all plugs and connectors. Make sure the back of the CT is plugged in. Power to the monitor is present. Do you have amanual for the arcade? You should be able to find one online.

Do you see the picture tube lit up, not on the screen, but in the back of the neck of the tube? (Orange glow from the filament)

I"d suggest that you seek out a qualified service person for the game, if you are not familiar with working on electronics.

There are fuses in the cabinet power supply I believe, check those. Could be something as simple as the fuse going to the monitor.

Nice machine, hope you get it going.
