How do I disassemble a Nady UH-4 microphone to

--Carefully pry the bezel around the on/off switch off and remove the LED and switch button--note the orientation of the LED. If you reverse it it won't work. The bezel has clips at both ends. Prying up in the center by inserting a screwdriver in front of the switch will allow you to insert a second screwdriver along the side of the bezel. Do this on both sides and it will pop off.--Unscrew the battery cap and remove the battery.--Unscrew the wire mesh cap.--Pull the mic cartridge out. The rubber mount slips in and was glued.--Unscrew the ring with the UH4 logo. If you unscrew this ring before pulling the mic cartridge out it will twist off the mic cartridge wires.--Slide the circuit board out of the handle by pushing up on the battery holder.--Reverse procedure to reassemble.

Cant figure out why my protect LED indicators

disconnect speakers at the amp, turn unit on, if it goes into protect, it needs service. If it stays on, re-connect speaker wires without speakers attatched at the other side and test again. (make sure wires are separated and not touching metal!) if it stays on still, check speakers one by one, when it goes into protection, you have found your problem. Disconnect the bad speaker and test again. Process of elimination. It can only be one of three things. Internal amp problem(nothing connected and protection) wires(no speakers connected and protection) or speaker(s) (when speaker connected, protection) Hope this helps. If you need deeper troubleshooting with this issue, post a comment and I can help you further.

No sound from my 2 year old Nady MPM 4130 pa system

Very likely source of this problem is the "mixer out/amp in" jack on the back. Anything plugged in there breaks the signal path so, obviously any off board equipment plugged in there needs to be checked...but that jack itself could be faulty or even just dirty. If there is nothing plugged into it....you can get a phone plug (power off) and plug in and remove it a few times. This is a switching type jack so if the "switch" part of it isn't connecting with nothing plugged into it, the signal path would be broken and give you the results you've been having.

My Nady xa-900 shut off during performance with no prior indication of problems. Now it will not turn on, no lights or anything. I have two of these amps. One was running Hi Packs, and the other 18

The amp top should be removed to check any fuses and the power transformer, a digital meter will be needed to run these tests, post back for instructions if you have one.

Dont know what size battery

Hi, nady ht-3 mic transmitter uses a 9 volt battery ..coolken_15.jpg

To insert the battery, You will need to unscrew the below button part of the hand held mic (anti-clockwise), and after unscrewing, you will see the space to fix in the 9 volt battery..

When you buy the battery, before fixing the battery in, check the polarity before placing the battery in (positive + and negetive -)...After inserting, screw back the cover in and locate where the power switch is..It always has an indicator to know if the power is on...

Note..make sure the Transmitter is on for it to be able to work properly with the hand held microphone....

Good luck..

Battery got very hot and mic stopped working

Sounds like the onboard power curcuit shorted out. Send it to Nady Systems for repair. It might be cheaper to send it to your local electronics repair shop but i guarantee you will lose the quality of the sound if you do.
