Delay brew will not come on in my Mr. coffee
I tried everything (cleaned multiple times, unplugged for 10 minutes) and then my husband asked.... is the time set for the delay brew? The answer....no! The power went out recently and we reset the clock but not the delay brew time (we don't use it much lately). Once I set the delay time the unit now works for delay brew!

Brews very slowly
If you ever had coffee ground spill over the top of the basket and into the water reservoir then you may have gotten grounds into the pump valve. That would cause it to pump water slowly or not at all. Before you take the machine apart to clean out the hose and pump try flushing it out. I used a turkey baster full of water and stuck the tip into the hole at the bottom of the reservoir that leads to the pump and heater. Forcefully squeeze the baster which will flush water and hopefully the coffee grounds through the pump and out into the pot.

Why does my mr. Coffee decanter leak?
First I'm not a Mr. Coffee tech but I have worked on similar machines.
* Most decanters are made of tempered glass and unless cracked it should not leak.
* Most overflowing pots are caused by over filling brewing tank. This can be caused by re-pouring additional water into the brew tank. (automatic brewers may have a leaking water valve - call your vendor for service)
* Partial brewing (taking coffee from a brewing pot) and then putting in more water.
* Removing the pot BEFORE it stops dripping. It leaves a puddle of coffee on the warmer plate
*Over filling the water tank. Most times the extra water will spill out the back. But some may overflow into the basket area then the warmer plate.
* Follow the MFR brewing instructions for filling.
* All brewers should stop water drips after brewing. If you get a constant drip AFTER brewing then have the brewer checked or replaced. Call your vendor.

My mr. coffee does not work. you plug it in and nothing happens. it is a model tf series..
If you're handy with appliance repair and can use a voltmeter, UNPLUG the coffee maker and proceed with this. If not, buy a new coffee maker.
Most likely, the thermal fuse has failed. Remove enough screws to get to the tank on top of the appliance (usually aluminum). You'll see a small device with wires on each end attached to the tank, perhaps by a bent-over aluminum tab. It might have a fabric sleeve around it. Put your ohmmeter on both ends of the fuse, and it should read a dead short. If it's open, that's the problem. Remove the fuse, look for a number on the side of it, do a Google search for the replacement and order one. Depending on how the fuse is connected, you may have to solder in the new fuse. Install it exactly like the original, including fabric sleeve, if applicable. Your coffee maker is fixed.

Just don't try it. It is no chance that the only thing blown is a single capacitor, there is a delicate circuit involved.
