3. Make your HDD bootable with DOS mode
4. copy the new OS folder to your HDD
5. Put back your HDD to your old laptop then boot it with DOS
6. find the OS folder you copied, from there run setup your new OS.

How much is clientpro 414 worth?
If this machine is running XP, beware. It is no longer supported, and hackers will be looking for these machines to infect. I recommend you get a newer machine.
Good luck.
Change boot order in bios on a client pro 385
Hi Jennifer. According to my research, these are Intel based PC's When you switch the PC on, keep tapping the 'Del' key to get into the BIOS. If it goes into windows, just restart the PC and try again - if the Del key doesn't work, try tapping F2 as that is also used by some manufacturers to get into the BIOS.
Once in the BIOS, just go through the menus until you find the boot priorities screen and make the necessary adjustments. Hope this helps
I am looking for restore software?
There may be a hidden recovery partition on your hard drive. Reboot the PC and hit F10 several times right after it reboots, but before it begins Windows. If F10 doesn't work, try other F keys. The recovery partition allows you to restore the PC to its original factory state. Just be sure you back up all your data to an external hard drive or flash memory card before you do that.
Tear down
Yes you can. You might use Sugru to re-attach the cover. http://www.sugru.com

This often happens due to lack of correct drivers. You should check drivers from your manufacturer, and also check the condition of your wi-fi adaptor by using the device manager.
