Lost key need to replace Ignition switch for 1998 Mitsubishi Montero sport
Disconnect the battery: Before beginning any work on the electrical system of your vehicle, disconnect the battery to prevent accidental shocks or short circuits.
Remove the steering column cover: The ignition switch is located on the steering column, so you'll need to remove the cover to access it. Depending on the exact model and trim level of your Montero Sport, the cover may be held in place with screws or clips.
Remove the ignition switch: Once you have access to the ignition switch, you'll need to remove it from the steering column. This may involve removing any retaining screws or clips that are holding it in place, as well as disconnecting any electrical connectors.
Install the new ignition switch: Install the new ignition switch in the reverse order of the previous steps, making sure that it is securely fastened to the steering column and that all electrical connections are properly connected.
Test the new ignition switch: Once the new ignition switch is installed, reconnect the battery and test the switch to make sure that it is working properly. Insert the new key and try to start the engine. If the engine starts and the key can be turned smoothly, you've successfully replaced the ignition switch.
It's worth noting that depending on the specific make and model of your Montero Sport, the exact steps for replacing the ignition switch may vary slightly
2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. I have Lost the Fob with the key.
Question edited for clarity.
Question moved to model category.
Unfortunately there is no way to do that. The security system and engine immobilizer is there to stop exactly what you are trying to do, drive the car without the correct credentials. All this is controlled by two computers, a module and various sensors.
The trick is to get a new key when you lost key number 2 and was left with only one key left.
Now you need the dealership or an auto-locksmith. And by the sounds of it, a friend or a taxi. Good luck with your daughter.
Mitsubishi Fuso 520538-4 Component 'DEF heating element' has a short circuit to ground.
The error code 520538-4 indicating a short circuit to ground in the DEF heating element is a serious issue and can affect the performance of the vehicle. The DEF system is critical for the vehicle to meet emission standards and should be addressed as soon as possible.
Since you have already replaced all of the DEF system components and even the ECU and the problem still persists, there are a few other things that you can check:
- Wiring harness: Check the wiring harness that connects the DEF heating element to the rest of the vehicle's electrical system for any damage or loose connections.
- DEF Pump: The DEF pump may have a failure that causes the DEF not to flow properly.
- DEF Dosing Unit: Check the DEF dosing unit for any clogs or damage.
- DEF Quality: Make sure that the DEF being used is of the correct quality and specification.
- Software update: Check with the dealer or the manufacturer if there is any software update available that can fix the issue.
It's highly recommended to have a professional technician diagnose and fix the problem as it's a critical emission component and might cause further issues if not addressed properly. The technician can use a diagnostic tool to check the system in more detail and locate the exact problem.
2005 Mitsubishi Endeavor limp mode reset?
Question edited for clarity and add maker.
Question moved to model category.
Limp Mode is activated for the most serious faults that can REALLY damage your engine catastrophically. It gives you the opportunity to limp to a garage.
It can be reset with a pro grade scan tool which also tells you WHY Limp Mode was activated.
Why does my 2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse start misfiring after it warms up?

i can name other causes, for missfire
1: engine bad, as cam belt slipped.
2: spark is bad.
3: injectors dead or clogged or leaking.
4: engine flooding , due to bad map sensor or bad ect or other sensors failing, scan it.
5: even bad fuel.
if engine is lean it bogs, no felt misfire. but is.

I have a mitsubishi wd 77731 tv and the screen turned completely white with white vertical lines. what happen?
If your Mitsubishi WD-77731 TV screen has turned completely white with white vertical lines, it is possible that there may be a fault in the display panel or the video processing circuitry of the TV. This could be caused by a variety of issues, including a faulty LCD driver board, a loose or damaged video cable, or a problem with the TV's power supply.
Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to determine the cause of the problem:
- Check the video input: Ensure that the video input to the TV is working properly by connecting a different video source, such as a DVD player or game console, to the TV.
- Check the video cables: Inspect the video cables that connect your video source to the TV for any damage or loose connections. If you find any damage, replace the cable.
- Power cycle the TV: Turn off the TV and unplug it from the power outlet for 1-2 minutes. Then, plug the TV back in and turn it on to see if the issue persists.
- Check for firmware updates: Check the Mitsubishi website to see if there are any available firmware updates for your TV. Updating the firmware may help to resolve any software-related issues.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it is recommended that you contact a professional TV repair service to diagnose and fix the problem.
Kindly assist I'got a Mitsubishi 2800 colt tdi when ever I accelarate it just stop what would be the problem
If your Mitsubishi 2800 Colt TDI is stalling or stopping when you accelerate, it could be due to a number of issues. Here are some possible causes:
- Clogged fuel filter: A clogged fuel filter can restrict fuel flow to the engine, causing it to stall when you accelerate. A mechanic can replace the fuel filter to resolve this issue.
- Faulty fuel pump: If the fuel pump is not working properly, it can also cause a lack of fuel flow to the engine and result in stalling. A mechanic can test the fuel pump to see if it is working properly and replace it if necessary.
- Airflow sensor malfunction: The airflow sensor measures the amount of air entering the engine and sends this information to the engine control module. If the sensor is malfunctioning, it can cause the engine to stall when accelerating. A mechanic can diagnose and replace the airflow sensor if necessary.
- Clogged or malfunctioning EGR valve: The EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) valve recirculates exhaust gas back into the engine to reduce emissions. If it becomes clogged or stops working, it can cause the engine to stall. A mechanic can clean or replace the EGR valve to resolve this issue.
I would recommend taking your vehicle to a qualified mechanic to have it diagnosed and repaired as soon as possible to prevent further damage or safety issues.
I have a Mitsubishi TV model 73838, only getting black screen when turned on. Also replaced DLP ... getting red/ orange flashing light Changed lamb ad
If you have replaced the DLP lamp and are still experiencing a black screen, along with a flashing red/orange light, there are a few possible causes. One possible issue is with the color wheel. The color wheel is responsible for producing the colors on the screen, and if it malfunctions, it can cause the TV to display a black screen. Another possible issue could be with the ballast, which powers the lamp. If the ballast is malfunctioning, it can cause the TV to fail to turn on. It is also possible that there could be an issue with the power supply or the main board.
In order to determine the cause of the issue, you may need to contact a professional technician who can diagnose and repair the TV. It is important to ensure that any repairs or replacements are done by a qualified technician to avoid any further damage to the TV.

Mitsubishi pajero 3.2 DID firing order on diesel injection pump? 4m41 engine
What year is the vehicle? Mitsubishi used two different systems on that engine. Before 2006 they used a Fuel Injection Pump and after 2006 they used a Common Rail system.
An injection pump is a mechanical setup that is driven by the timing belt to make sure it matches the engine speed when driving.
A common rail system uses an electronic signal to fire each injector at the correct moment from a shared fuel supply rail on the engine.
In general the injector firing order needs to match the mechanical firing order of the engine so the fuel is injected into the correct cylinder at the correct moment. The Firing order is 1, 3, 4, 2. Number 1 is nearest the engine belts and pulleys.
2019 Mitsubishi outlander sport crankshaft position sensor location
do have to? there is never any answer to that, nu-diagosed.
no engine told. at all. just 4 banger
no VIN told and 8th digit is engine code.! post VIN .
crank sensor can be in 3+ places, front crank ,mid crank and rear.
yes some car with crank sensor behind fly wheel the tone slots are cut into the flywheel or the (flex plate) so yah tricky on some engines. (just so you know ropes)
if you google correct engine name + crank shaft.
you will see the tone wheel on the crank and bingo location
or read the service manual to learn this fast.
