Open Tray Error can be caused by a couple of things. Here are the most likely culprits: Process 1: Clean Tray Drive Belt Difficulty Level : EASY Allow tray to open, then unplug with tray still open. Flip Xbox over. Removing front cover helps with access: If you look carefully, you can see the drive belt (small black belt). Reads like a graphics card problem, either graphics acceleration is turned off/not available, you need updated drivers for the card, or you need a different card that is compatible with that program. It probably mentions what cards will work with it.

This is a common problem when the GPU is going bad.

If you want to get your console/profile permanently banned, then keep going down this path.

If you have a friend with another hard drive, try his/hers to see if that will work. Sounds like your hard drive is bad, but try that and see.

You'll need to purchase another dead 360 for the component needed. You'll also need to be quite proficient at soldering. Otherwise, just purchase another 360, or better yet, upgrade to an XboxOne

Will the xbox proceed through the entire start up screens OK with NO games in, or does it freeze on start up? If freezing on start up, then it sounds like your GPU (Graphics Processor) is overheating.

Those are indicators of the GPU (Graphics Board) going bad. Similar to the red rings of ***** typically related to the CPU. Hard Drive could potentially cause some issues, however hard drive is not needed for Netflix or DVD's.

Sounds like a broken wire to the controller. Time to replace it.

Take the controller apart and clean it - or - buy a new one

Check to ensure the video cable is completely plugged in. This is the common code given for missing video cable.

It sounds like your hard drive is toast. More than likely you've lost everything on it. If you were sync'd with the cloud, then you should still be OK, otherwise, your data will be hard to recover. You can open the hard drive case, and check the internal connections as it could be as simple as a loose connection.
