This may help. If you can't identify the file or program, then use MSConfg. Go to Start > Search. Type MSConfig. Go to the startup tab and disable as many items as possible. Not to worry, the apps are still there and critical items will load anyways. Plus this will make you pc load and run faster.

Much easier would be if you first threw the whole folder structure in the archive, and then brought home a pst file, and just connected it as an archive folder on your home computer. But since you didn't do so you have no choice but to extract all the information from .ost file and convert it to pst file, save separately and then imported into Outlook. But without third-party software that doesn't work. I can recommend you to use Recovery Toolbox for Outlook

VLC will play dvds and dvd vob files ;)

I've used "free" decoders in the past but they're usually spyware ridden and full of junk.

Use VLC, trust me.

Here's a link to the site.

OST files may get corrupted, damaged or inaccessible due to various reasons such as Microsoft Exchange Server's downtime, software crash, accidental user account deletion, database corruption, virus attacks, and so on. The Lepide Exchange Manager's OST to PST Converter tool recovers lost and permanently deleted Emails by maintaining the Email formatting.

And also for reference Microsoft does not support pst files that are larger than 2GB in size, they can be corrupted really easy.
The thing with the PST file is that it is a database file so even if you throw away a multitude of mails from within the PST file the size will still be the same. You indeed have to compact it. This can also be done in Outlook itself ( see info below). But as said, because the file is this large you might corrupt it. I would suggest creating a new PST file and copy information into it until you reach 2GB and then create a new one. Do this until all mails are moved. Even then you might want to try and compact the file.

On the File menu, click Data File Management.
Click to select your Personal Folder, and then click Settings.
On the General tab, click Compact Now.
Click OK, and then click Close.

Make use of Recovery Toolbox for Outlook

Couple things you may do, first one guide below, second: if you can't move ost to pst make use of https://osttopst.recoverytoolbox.com/ Recovery Toolbox for Outlook
  1. Launch Outlook. Log in to your Exchange email server to view the contents of your OST file.
  2. In Outlook, click "File," then "Import and Export."
  3. Click "Export to a file" and "Next."
  4. Click "Personal Folder File (.PST)" and "Next."
  5. Click "Personal Folders" at the top of the list, then click "Include subfolders." This will export everything in your OST file into a PST file. Click the appropriate categories in the list if you want to export only certain data such as your contacts. Click "Next."
  6. Click the "Browse" button. Navigate to a folder on your hard drive where you want to store your PST file. Type a file name and hit "Enter." Choose how you wish possible duplicate items to be managed.
  7. Click "Finish.

When you try to start a Microsoft Office 2007 or Microsoft Office 2003 program, you may receive the following error message or an error message that is similar to the following:

Error 25090. Office Setup encountered a problem with the Office Source Engine, system error: -2147023836. Please open SETUP.CHM and look for "Office Source Engine" for information on how to resolve this problem.

CAUSE
This behavior occurs when the following conditions are true:

* Two people installed Office on the same computer.
* Both installations were completed by using the AllUsers="" parameter to set the installation for the installing user account only.
* When both people were prompted to remove files that were copied locally at the end of Setup, both people did not remove the files.
* One of the two people removed Office.

RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, start the Setup program for Office. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Insert the Microsoft Office 2003 CD in your CD drive or DVD drive.
2. If the Setup program does not start automatically, locate the Setup.exe file on the CD, and then double-click the file to start Setup.
3. After the Setup window appears, cancel Setup, and then respond to the prompts to exit Setup.

Note: You do not have to complete the Setup program. Setup fixes the error condition when it is first invoked.
