MY Microboards G4 Disc publisher ink light flashes when turned on . It stoppet working after a power failure .
The flashing ink light on your Microboards G4 Disc publisher could indicate a few possible issues. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to fix it:
1. Check ink levels: Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and have enough ink. If the ink levels are low, replace the cartridges.
2. Restart the printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, and then plug it back in. Turn on the printer and check if the ink light still flashes.
3. Reset the printer: Look for a reset button or option in the printer's settings or user manual. Perform a reset to see if it resolves the issue.
4. Clean the ink cartridges: Ink buildup or clogs on the cartridges can cause issues. Remove the cartridges and clean them gently with a lint-free cloth or cotton swab dipped in distilled water. Allow them to dry before reinstalling.
5. Update firmware and drivers: Visit the manufacturer's website and download any available firmware updates or driver software for your printer model. Install them and see if it resolves the problem.
6. Contact customer support: If none of the above steps work, it's best to reach out to Microboards customer support for further assistance. They may be able to provide specific troubleshooting steps or arrange for repairs if needed.
Remember to consult your printer's user manual for any specific instructions or warnings before attempting any troubleshooting steps.
Why is it identified as Unknown Device?
You need to click the unknown device icon and search and install the drivers. If you have the disc that came with the machine, then they should be on that. One possibility is that you didn't follow the device installation instructions properly. Missing out some step that is required. So read the installation instructions carefully again. Double check that you haven't missed something. I know that these days for example some printers tell you when to connect them to a PC. Connecting the cable before then can cause problems.
One final thing check the cable that connects it. I had one once that though it knew there was a printer, it just couldn't recognise it, just like yours. I replaced the cable and it detected the printer straight away - name, everything!!!

you. Just go to printers and devices from
your start menu and then click on properties.

CD does'nt slide anymore inside the printer to be printed at the second step, after going down at first
Either the sensor and/or the laser lens inside the tray are dirty, a common fault printers)or you are not aligning the disk properly when placing in the tray. You can try using a CD\DVD cleaning disk and a can of compressed air to blow out dust. If this fails uninstall the printer's drivers and software and reinstall everything from the beginning. If that fails return for repairs. NEVER use stick on disc labels, only use write on discs
