The panel not lighting up is one issue and not starting is another. You have one of the most complicated makes on the planet. You need an auto electrician with a pro grade scan tool computer to come and visit.
Why no click, no start?
might be your battery. sometimes they suddenly and completely die with no warning. it's happened to me!
How do I replace the shift solenoid A code P7053
The shift solenoids are visible when you remove the fluid pan. Whether or not you will be able to replace them on yours without going further I just don't know on your vehicle. If you can get them out from there then it is a pretty simple swap out.

The fan is blowing but its only blowing cold air. no heat
Check your antifreeze level. If it's too low, it won't be getting to your heater core. If your antifreeze level is fine, your heater core could be plugged. Another thing that could happen is your mixture door for the heat is not moving properly.
Problems with s430 2000 Mercedes Benz keep adding antifreeze.

You either have a leak in the coolant system or a bad head gasket. Check the oil. If it seems overfull and milky or has globs of water, look to the head gasket. Otherwise, look for a puddle under the parked vehicle. White vapour from the exhaust is another indicator. Seems I replied to this once before, did you do all of the checks suggested?
