To set the time on a Memorex Mi4604PBLK Clock Radio, hold down the 'set time' button first and then the 'source' button, at the same time. But you must push the buttons in that order, 'set time' and then 'source'. The time display on the front will flash between dim and bright. Use the volume dial to change the time. Time is set, and the flashing display will stop after a few seconds.

It sounds as though the correlation between the arm position and the under-deck linkage requires adjustment. Sometimes there is a pinch-screw and sometimes the procedure is more involved. A hifi enthusiast should be able to help.

try a few different CDs , if they do not work try a CD cleaner kit.

It is quite possible that your Cd has a faulty optical head which does not read the data from the cd. Hence the error message. What you can do is to clean the lens of the optical head and try again . If not then you will need to replace the head but seek help if you have not attempted any electronic work as there are many delicate details to follow with the replacement specially with the solder short on the new unit.Also to evaluate the cost of the new unit is also required.
