I cannot record music on my CD-R from my windows player

Try a different brand. Make sure you do not let auto-run format your disc (for non-rewritable discs) when it is loaded into the burner. I turned off auto-run due to this. RW discs can be formatted.

I hope this helps.

(I've seen different DVD manufacturing processes give a string of "coasters" on a given burner but CDs can have the issue.)

I am able to burn

I am not sure about the MAC, but the PC's have the choice to save like a CDROM or like a DISK, or something similar to this. Using CDROM closes the drive after burning, the other choice will allow you to add files.

Why wont my dvd+rw play in my dvd on tv?

They are differnt formats. DVD's are VOB files in a TS Video folder. You got a computer file of some kind. Like AVE or MP4, and so on.

Disks are not NTSC

What device are you trying to play the file back on? What type of disc (commercial video or homemade)? If homemade, what device wrote to the discs? If these are commercial discs, they may be PAL discs and will not play on a NTSC video player. You'd need a different player. If these are homemade discs made on another device, check if the discs were finalized by that device. If the video was made on a computer, try a different format of the video files; check the DVD specifications. I hope this helps. Please add comments with additional information on the problem if you need more help.Cindy Wells

Why won't a CD-RW disc play in my car CD player?

Some of the older cd players, car or otherwise, just aren't capable of recognizing CD-RW's. The player in my 10 year old Ford Mondeo doesn't, but the updated model player in the newer Mondeo does play CD-RW's.

what sort of problem ?? Click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll down cd-dvd rom drives you might see a yellow question /exclamation mark ? ! or a red X right click to update driver you might have to physically unplug the leads for this cd/dvd restart your computer then plug them back this should activate the found new hardware wizard if this does not fix the problem it might be a registry problem if you cant see your disk drive in windows explorer Close all open programs

Click on Start, Run, and type regedit and press Enter Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

SYSTEM

CurrentControlSet

Control

Class

{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.

Upper Filters

Lower Filters

Upper Filters.bak

Lower Filters.bak

If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose DeleteAfter deleting the keys, close the registry editorReboot your computerOpen My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned. You may also want to open Device Manager and verify that the yellow exclamation and error code on the CD or DVD drive is gone.

if this fails to fix the problem

It could be a problem with the lens you could use a liquid type lens cleaner place 2-3 drops on top of a cd/dvd then run it if this fails

the lens it's already gone bad there is no harm in trying If you take a little risk can solve . follow the instruction: Don't panic its very simply. 1. When running your pc , open the drawer.> 2. switch off the ac power 3. remove power cable & sata or pata cable 4. remove all the screw from the back side 5. press clip to open the font panel 6. reverse the cd/dvd rw 7. just remove the cover 8. clean the optical lance 9. use a little( not much )oil place on two steel shaft 10.cover all the equipment 11.now you can fit to your pc Ifit does the same problem please change the cd/dvd rw because the lance has defected hope this helps
