Where is the spark plug on my McCulloch pro mac 375 chainsaw

If you cannot see the spark plug wire to find the plug it is most likely underneath the top most cover on the main body of the saw. The cover your knuckles touch when your holding the bar for the Kick Clutch that goes over the top of the machine. It is often held down with 3 or 4 flathead screws that shouldn't be in tight. When refitting a spark plug ONLY replace with the same sparkplug to avoid doing damage. Also ALWAYS refit the plug BY HAND first to avoid stripping the threads. They don't need to be in stupidly tight. Turn it until it is finger tight they tighten with a socket until you hit firm resistance. It's usually less than a full turn.

Mcculloch 280B gas blower has compression, fuel, ignition, won't start

Remove all fuel. Remove spark plug. Dry out the crankcase and cylinder by pulling the starter several times.

Reinstall spark plug. Remove air filter, hold throttle open and spray a short burst (~1sec) of starter fluid down throat of carburetor. Release throttle and promptly pull starter rope up to 5x.

If it fires and runs a few seconds then it is a fuel/carburetor problem.

If still no fire then more likely a spark or compression problem. Replace spark plug with new proper type and gap. Retry with starter fluid. If still no run then likely either a failed ignition module or poor compression/crankcase leak.

Have a mcculloch M3816 chainsaw and cannot figure out how the trigger mechanism activates the throttle in the handle

There is usally a rod that travels under handle to carb. Could be a cable if its a top line saw. If you are having problem with it take top of saw body apart and it should give you access.

Hi I have a McCulloch Trimmac 241 Strimmer which was not running when I got it, I took the carburettor off and the throttle cable came off but I cant see where the end goes onto the carb end, Help Jim

Most machines will have a z bend in the end of the throttle wire, the outer cable will be anchored with a square block into the induction block, the z bend in the cable will then fit into a hole in the throttle spindle on the carb, there will only be one hole in the spindle the correct size for the cable.

What is oil gas ratio in a McCulloch power Mac 320 chain saw

According to the manual, the gasoline to oil ratio for the Power Mac 320 depends on the lubricating oil. McCullough 40:1 Two-Cycle Custom Lubricant is recommended. However, any good SAE 40 two-cycle oil should be used at a 20:1 ratio. See page 7 of the owner's manual. This is available from ManualsLib, https://www.manualslib.com/products/Mcculloch-Power-Mac-320-3983820.html . The direct link to the proper page is https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1011585/Mcculloch-Power-Mac-310.html?page=7#manual . I hope this helps. Cindy Wells
