Good morning, your oven most likely has a weak igniter. That would keep the gas safety valve from opening properly. It will get close to the required amperage but valve will only flutter and not allow enough gas to ignite. Hope that helps.

if the clock is blank it's bad and you have to change out the clock assy. if that's your model number MEW5527B it says your part is WP74009198 and it's around 260 dollars but this must be an older wall oven because nobody has it in stock,you can go here,put your full model number in and go to control panel and look up your computer board or clock assy. same thing https://www.searspartsdirect.com/model-number/MEW5527BAW/3048/0125300.html

Was the original broil element broken or burnt? Did you reuse the original spacers to ensure the new element is not touching the oven interior? 1) To determine if the broil element has burned out, use a multimeter to test the element for continuity. If the broil element does not have continuity, replace it. (Perform this test, even on a brand new element). 2) If element tests OK, then reinstall, and test continuity of the element wires themselves. It really comes down to these two items. More than like a surge has fried most of the electricals in your oven. Since you are dealing with a gas appliance I suggest be very careful. Even the tiniest gas leak could result in your residence blowing up, etc. For this reason I recommend call your gas company, and have them come out and install a new one for you. It's just not worth the risk.

It's most likely the control board. It depends on age of unit and cost and time of repair. It may be quicker to just get new unit with holidays just around corner.

Assuming everything with lock mechanism is aligned properly, either lock motor is bad, or wiring could be bad, or control is bad.
