Some of these Wild Things have a weight sensor built into them. If there is no-one sitting there it won't move. The Two flashes is telling you the speed it is set to. 2 flashes = 2mph, 3 flashes = 3mph and so on. Disconnect the battery and clean the connectors for both sides (+ and -) then reconnect the battery. What surface is it being used on? This is designed to only be used on dry, paved surfaces. Any 'off roading' or excessive moisture can trip the safety cut out.

My horse calls for AA batteries - 4.

I had the same problem it seems, and I got it fixed. I unscrewed the 5 screws in the base (one is kind of hidden in the "tail" of the unit), and the 2 screws in the battery compartment. I lifted the outer cover off, and then unscrewed the 4 screws holding down the motor compartment. Carefully lifting that off, I found several small white cogs (gears) and one of them was out of alignment. I put it back in place and carefully aligned and reassembled the parts. It works now.

I have the original installation CD. Or did you find a solution? I see this was never marked as solved.

i would love to know i have have searched for one for ages with no luck, my daughter is stuck playing games only using the keys with no mouse

Plug the MP3 player into the USB port on your macbook air, Open Finder and Use either the keyboard shortcuts to copy and then paste or you can drag and drop them to the USB stick. To use the keyboard select the files you want to copy then hit Command+C and then highlight the USB stick and hit Command+V. Or you can Drag and Drop them onto the USB stick. good luck.
