There are a number of reasons a refrigerator does not cool. Make sure that the condenser fins are clean. Is the passage from the freezer side blocked not letting the cold air enter? Magic Chef mcbr415s compressor is hot and its not cooling

Ice build up in the freezer is usually caused by one of these problems. You may have an outside air leak from one of the door gaskets. Check the gaskets for proper seal and any cuts or pieces missing. Second possible problem may be your refrigerator is not self defrosting as it should. Cause of this could be a burned out defrost heater. With a bad defrost system, you normally will start to have your fresh food temps start to increase over time( about a week) and some food spoilage.

The oil in a refrigerator is contained in the coolant lines and they are sealed. No oil can leak out if the lines are intact. That has to be something else.

Hi, After cleaning out the machine, please double check that it's not attempting to cool any object that's extremely hot. Also, you might want to switch power outlets and test the cooling again. It will be trying to cool it back down .have you pulled the plug out let the motor cool gown then plug it back in
