You either have a bad electrical connection, or a bad connection TO the transducer or the transducer itself is faulty. You can return the transducer under warranty or return it for testing. It is unlikely to be the internal memory IMO. Greetings, Please consider returning the device to the manufacturer and purchasing a Garmin GPS from amazon, BestBuy, or Walmart. Garmin has been around for at least 1 decade and I believe has a more solid brand name than Lowrance. Thank you.

Hi, Please test the backup sd card on another GPS if possible to see if the zoomed-in section of the map file shows up or not. If it shows, then you'd need to send in your lowrance gps for repair from the water damage. Thank you.

Question edited for clarity. Make sure you got the correct transducer Your model comes in single frequency and dual frequency. Make sure the connection on the back of the unit is good and you have no corroded or missing pins. Make sure the software is up to date. Question edited for clarity. The first thing to check is the fuse to the unit. The could be a fuse block for accessories on the boat, or it could be an inline fuse to the unit itself or both. The pull all the plugs from the rear of the unit and check for corrosion. Spray with WD40 and replace the plugs carefully and tighten the fixing screws evenly. If that doesn't fix it, it may be the transducer, but you should still get a picture for chartplotting. There are some troubleshooting ideas here. The model Elite 5x from Lowrance is a bit out dated, I currently have one on my boat, That model would require GPS signal to be able to read MPH unfortunately it does not. Not sure if they made a GPS puck for that model. That wire lead set can and probably is being used on a few different models that support that function. Hope that helps.. BTW I have had mine since 2013 and still works great. There is a GPS speedometer available through LOWE boats with 4 INCH bezel. Reset use a soft reboot. Or hard reset make sure you back up all your settings on fish finder with chip or home computer. OK guys so the first thing you wanna do when resetting your unit whether it's soft reset or hard reset we're gonna start with a soft reset which is gonna save any GPS data anything like that so we're gonna head over hold the Power & Page button press the power button we're going to go over and press power button but I'm at the unit but up until you see the warning screen where you have to except the depth on reset Can see we still have our Saved waypoints. OK now I'm gonna show you how to do a hard reset again turn the unit off you should always use the power key never just flip the main power switch to off then press and hold the plus minus key as well as the power key let go of the power key keep holding plus minus until the warning screen comes up in a hard reset your going to delete all data on this year it's gonna be like we just bought it went to the store and bought it and cam home with know data whatsoever no settings nothing OK I warning screen has came up we can let go of her buttons and press except start demo. Probably time for a new one. Harsh conditions like on a boat causes the electronics to fail after awhile
