First, ensure that the transducer face is pointing down when the boat is level in flat water. You may want to do this step like a tv antenna, adjusting the angle of the transducer while watching the screen. If that doesn't work, then try moving the transducer further into the water and repeat step one. Sonar systems are (largely) directional, and will work best when parallel with the seabed (or lake bed etc)

usually a failing crank sensor, or cam but you would have an engine warning light when you lose your revs.

verify cable harness integrity at base connection of transducer , replace cable or check settings easy fix would be change display unit if unit under warranty as replacing transducer is not easy and economical

check to make sure your gain is adjusted properly, auto is usually best, units will vary

Many depth finders don't work when the transducer sees a little turbulence. My only suggestion is to try different locations for the transducer, trying to guess where there will be the least turbulence beneath it. This is easy if your transducer is mounted inside the hull and reads through the hull. Not so easy if it is a through-hull mount. Sorry, no answer for you 19 days later, but I wonder how many others have read this and wondered what part of "the unit" actually is that's not working??? Really, providing some more details may help get a few suggestions at least if there is anything to add, and have you tried contacting the manufacturer???.

Check for corrosion on pins and make sure that you have enough power, not with volt meter but test light. It is probably not cost effective to repair older unit

Hello Keneth, Is The transducer In Side the Hull Or Mounted On The Transom? If Inside Remove It And Re Fit It Using Epoxy Glue Ensuring No Air Pocket Between transducer And Hull. If transom Mounted Replace Transducer. Hope this Helps Gordy

Chances are your GPS puck antenna is bad. They have a pretty bad rep for failing and since its now at least 5 years old , you have been on borrowed time. You can get replacements on Ebay. Your temp issue is unrelated . Might be time to upgrade.

It may be a dead battery and to replace that probably costs more than a new unit. Based on all the problems owners note here with Lowrance, let me be the first to suggest you get a different maker's product!
