Lorex How do I format the hard drive of an LH130?

unlikely to be from a virus attack but from a failing hard drive formatting the hard drive will totally remove all data and operating systems so ensure that you have the ability to reinstall the operating system for the security system right click on that hard drive , click on properties , click on formatting disc press ok and everything will be gone

When I try to change the password on my lorex security camera it wants 8 characters but only lets me put in 6.

Lorex is not very responsive to customer service issues. Have you installed any firmware updates? You did not post the model number for any further information.

My Lorex NVR LNR11800 stopped working. The network and HDD LEDs are not lighting up either and HDD Manager says No Disk, however, HDD Status shows Normal. Power LED is lighting up and the beep is normal. Tried checking the switching adapter using multimeter tester and DC is 47.8V (the NVR and Switching Adapter are both rated 48V). Could it be a firmware issue? Please help. Thanks.

How can you disable the old business owners remote viewing aps as the business has a new owner, thanks phil

Look for whatever software the old owners used and uninstall it. Or open that software and change the password used for login.

I have the camera but not the software...help please

I've checked several different ways for this camera to work on my new computer. IT WON'T! As per the manufacturer this camera will not work on Windows 7 or 8 computers. The drivers are not compatible. It is a plug-n-play camera for any OS before windows 7. Hope that helps.
