Hi, I have logitech wingman

In windows, go to your control panel in settings. In there, there should be a link for 'game controllers' or similar. Make sure your joystick is plugged in. When the settings start, you should see the joystick mentioned. Click this and then calibrate it from there. Don't forget to save before leaving.

Logitech Wingman Extreme Digital Calibration

Hello there Usually these JS automatically calibrate when intalled, but...some like olders models, have problems, with sensors, or bad calibrations inside the rotor ans sensors area. for those fixes, you have to open carefully the JS and look for the sensors that usually are two optical sensors, and clean good, with computer air spray, sometimes that did the trick, but others, its a sensors, problem. you have to RMS the product, or use your warranty. hope these helps!

The 5 cap screws that hold the bezel ring over the throttle slide: do they actually thread into something?

These cap screws thread into the basket inside the hull of the WingMan. This basket holds the mechanical parts and the potentiometers. If you wish to take a look on the interior of the hull (or case), it's better to open below; the bottom plate is secured by 5 Phillips screws located in the middle of the cushioning rings - except one of them, located nearby. Be careful.

Wingman ff gp gear paddles

The drivers were made to work on XP, but I think I found one that may work on Vista for the steering wheel.
http://www.opendrivers.com/driver/240041/logitech-wingman-series-joystick-driver-5.01.256-windows-xp-vista-free-download.html
Now I am not sure whether it will work or not, there are alot of complaints for the wheel's pedals not working for games, but all the buttons working. Go into the control panel and look for the menu for controllers and input devices. Make sure all the settings are correct.

Twist handle on logitech extreme

Hi

Go to Control Panel, click on "Game Controllers", or however you get to your joystick settings. Hold down the "Ctrl" (control key) and the "Shift" key together - at the same time, then click your mouse on the "Properties". This should take you to a different calibration screen that you would get to without holding the two keys together.

IMPORTANT - Click on the "Test" tab first. If you go to the settings tab first, it likely will not work. Without doing anything else after clicking on the "Test" tab, next click on the "Settings" tab. Then click on the "Calibrate" button below. Click "next". Click the thumb button on the left side of the joystick which should bring you to another screen. Then follow the prompts......* On the "axis calibration", move your joystick in full circles, making sure the "+" symbol moves around the far margins of the square. After a few complete circles, click the "next" button with your mouse.* On the next screen, click the left button on the joystick again, which should bring you to the next screen. Move the throttle lever back and forth a few times. Then click "next" again.* On the "Z rotation screen", move the joystick to the left and right (rotate it) a few times. Then click "next" and then "finish" then "ok".

Will my wingman formula force gp work with grid on

Highly unlikely. It is not a Sony licensed product and Logitech often causes more problems with all systems.I worked on Nintendos and Sony PS2's and know for a fact that there are no other items which are licensed by either. To get the official licensing, they have to pay a fee in order to build to the exact specifications required by both.Since they do not, they are not allowed to use the exact voltages, size of controller inputs, and many other things which really should be exact.I saw at least one unlicensed product such as this cause problems every day for 3 years straight.Stick with the game console name brand products and you will be much better off.Good luck,Greg
