I would suggest to use ManyCam software to control your camera.

The Quick Cam line ever had drivers for Mac OS versions. See the specifications here: http://support.logitech.com/en_us/product/quickcam-connect-product/specs . The E2500 works with Windows XP and Vista. You may be able to use the camera in Boot Camp running one of these versions of Windows. The Quick Cam E2500 doesn't work with Windows 7 and newer Windows OS versions. The Logitech Webcams, including the C525 and the C920, will work with a Mac directly. Try setting it to mirror to see the results. If it's good, then you know that the latest software is causing the problem.

Try closing out all other programs first, then your computer should be able to handle that 1 particular webcam program. If not, then possibly the webcam program was not installed correctly or missing data from program installed incompletely. Try Uninstalling and Reinstalling the webcam program, restart your computer and that should do the trick. Good Luck.

Resolution plays a part in the size of the video. Avi takes up a lot of space. Try any program that can save in mp4.

Ok maybe you can try this:

- get the software for the camera and extract into a folder in desktop (to keep it at hand mainly)
- plug in camera and wait for the Guide to a new device thingy, where it asks you to insert cd.
- now most times the computer asks you to insert cd or indicate location of installation folder, instead of cd, try to look for an option to browse to the directory where you extracted the files.

If that works, you will be able to get the basic drivers installed and when you restart, guide won't appear anymore because won't be a new device, and then u could install additional software.

This may be because you are running windows 7. There are many cases like yours. As i would tell most of them, contact the manufacturer and get more information.

When you re-installed windows 7 did you install the same version or was 32 installed before and you now put in 64?

Probabbly your driver is bad. Take a search of provider site and look at the drivers. After you find the drivers you need to unninstal your curent webcam driver. I hope it will work. If it won`t work, probabbly the webcam isn`t with microphone.

hi, why? you just have to select the channels to each camera in local usb and it is ready to show all cameras and able to detect/send and everything... then if you want to remotely see with smart phone (for ex) the easiest way is to install teamviewer with a fixed password and you'll be able to see and do what ever you want on your laptop... the system with a router is also possible but less easy to setup for beginners, you have to add a dyndns option and redirect ports in the router to pass through it to your computer... teamviewer does all the trick !
