What is Tecno Lofra oven error 5??
Error 5 on a Tecno Lofra oven typically indicates a problem with the door lock. It could be caused by a faulty door lock mechanism or a wiring issue. To troubleshoot the issue, you can try resetting the oven by turning off the power to the unit for a few minutes and then turning it back on. If the error persists, it may require a professional technician to inspect and repair the door lock mechanism or wiring.
Tonite, while cooking dinner, I
The same thing happened to my oven a few years, however there are two major differences:
1. I'm in the UK
2. It was an electric oven
I don't know why it exploded, but they go with a heck of a bang, don't they!
I lived way out in the middle of nowhere so turned to the internet, first armed with the model and serial number of the oven. I found a supplier online and had the replacement within a couple of days.
Maybe you'll be able to find an online suppler in your part of the world. Good luck.

The ignition on our cooker stopped working after flash from rear
there usually is a unit at the back that is the ignitor i don't know on this model but it should have a fuse fitted to the igniter, its usually 3amp, check and see if it has blown this fuse. check it with another fuse and see if there is still a problem the fuse will blow if it gets a back feed. this could be form the switch that you push.
How many amps. does a 90cm. freestanding Lofra oven have?
If you are in the United States, and are using an oven made specifically for this country, the normal amps of a circuit breaker in the electrical box would be 30.
However, that is not the amount it uses, that is the lowest number you should install to be sure the oven works when turned on.
The oven would use somewhere in the 20 amp range normally.
Try to contact the company and ask them, by using the internet to search for that company or a dealer who might have that information.
If you get the sales department of a dealership, they will not know.
It will take an electrical technician to tell you, of you can find one. God bless your efforts.
How do we remove the oven light
Usually you just remove the cover if it has one, then unscrew it like any other light bulb. If its broken unplug the oven from the wall plug and carefully work the broken base loose. Pushing 1/2 a potato onto the broken parts of the bulb will help you to remove it. Just make sure the power to the stove is off!
How do I get the door off for cleaning
On the door hinges move the little clip up on both hinges then you can lift the door of the stove don't forget to clip them back when you put the door back on
Cheers Steve

Lofra oven doesent stay alight
I had the same problem with my Lofra, I removed the cover on the bottom of the inside of the oven and then unscrewed the metal bit under that. Then I tested it again so I could see why it wasn't lighting up. Turns out the heat sensor was in between two flames and wasn't detecting that the gas was on. I wiggled things around a bit until it stared working, then put the cover back on. Now it works wonderfully. Now I just have to fix the timer.. It doesn't ring when it reaches the end. Hope this solution works for you guys.

Can i take the heating
- You can turn the oven on to 450 degrees and this will clean the element real well.
- If you just want to clean it due to a spill or something to avoid stinking your home up then you can remove the little stabilizer brackets and the element will just pull towards you and out.
- Make sure it has completely cooled and then you can wipe the element part with a wet cloth. Don't submerse in water and avoid anything abrasive like SOS pads. Also avoid wetting the electrical contacts on the heating element.
- Let completely dry and re-install.
- Pretty easy really.
- Usually when the element fails it's time to replace it. So when you pull that bottom heating element out look for burnt spots or pitting on the contacts of the element. This is a clean indicator of the element needing replaced.
- Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.
Regards,
Tony
