Yes. DVD drives are intercompatable for the most part.these days. just pull out the old one, install the new one, and the OS will install the drivers and it will work just fine.

In case you have a good PC, you can easily install it using Bluestacks. Here are the steps:

1. Download Bluestacks
2. Search for "GDMSS Lite"
3. Proceed with installation.

Not all disks are compatible and you have just found this out for yourself. Stick with what works.

Your lite on has lost its mind and needs replacement. Meanwhile a non rewritable disk cannot be erased. If not finalized it may not be read on another machine but the originating machine can read it.
