its fine any model woudl work just download any internal cd drive driver. there is even a stock one in windows. just go to device manager .. right click my computer, prop-device manger- then you will see th yellow or red arror for the drive and click uninstall driver or update driver. if you click uninstall driver then reboot and it will find the driver on the reboot. also make sure you dont have it set up via a jumper as master and have another drive on the same cable as master. switch the jumper to slave (instructions are on the cd drive itself) and that shoudl also fix it let me know

Drive can't load many cd's. Cleaned the head with
It might need to be replaced. Check the CD type. There are also CDs that certain drives does not accept. Check if it has a + or - sign beside it. Also check if your CD-ROM can read a + or - CD type. But usually, if this is the problem, I usually recommend replacing the CD-Rom drive. If you really want to repair it then try the motors inside, it could be malfunctioning. If you'd rather replace it, try buying the one that can read +/- CD. I also recommend buying a "DVD-RW +/-" instead of an ordinary CD-ROM. It can function and read all CD or DVD with a "+" or a "-" type. You can also burn CD or DVDs using this.
Computer file doesn't play on DVD player
Hi, burning a WMV file to a dvd wont work on a standard dvd player due to the format, easiest way to fix the problem is using Nero, and selecting video disc and it will convert the file when it burns the disc to a playable format..
Have a nice christmas

Some pc DVD players will only play films from a certain region.

Also some companies dont like people to play films on their computer as they can be ripped to hard drive etc.

Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because
This is a common error message which means the "codecs" for your dvd decoder are not installed or up to date...DivX codecs can be downloaded and installed in "packs" for your specfic operating system that will remedy the problem.

Burning dvd data
its telling you that the dvd are not being closed, do you wait until the computer tells you its finished before you eject the disk, most lite on dvd's will eject themselves when done.
