I need a pully and serpentine diagram fo a 1999

Check under the hood, on top of the radiator, or on the underside of the hood. They usually have a diagram of the way the belt wraps around the pulleys. If you tell me what the pulley is connected too I can probably tell you which one. Most common ones are idler pulley, or maybe the tensioner pulley, but usually that is sold as an entire tensioner unit.

SERPENTINE BELT

May have a bad tension-er bearing or weak tension-er spring. You could have a bad or bent pulley and the water pump could be bad causing it to throw the belt off let me know the make and model and year I might come up with some more issues. Thanks for using Fix-ya and please rate this free question if it helped.

Tensioner not move what do i do 1999 dodge caravan

Here's how to get a serpentine belt on or off (You'll need to do both). It's easy and doesn't require a prybar.

On:
  • Get a 14mm or 9/16" socket and a long handled ratchet or breaker bar.
  • Get the belt around all the pulleys except the A/C compressor or Alternator.
  • Locate the tensioner pulley. It's one of the smaller ones and is mounted on a spring loaded arm. It's job, as the name suggests, is to keep the belt tight. Get your socket on the center nut of this pulley.
  • Slowly pull the ratchet toward the center of the engine. The pulley will pivot on the arm allowing you to get the belt on the final pulley.
  • Slowly release the tension.
  • You're done

Where is the fuel filter located on a 1994 lexus

Hi,

The fuel filter is located behind the back seat...there is a 9" access port in the center of the fuel tank behind the back seat. located in the center of the open port you will see a fuel hose with some hose clamps....the 3 semicircular bolts that line the bottom of the portal anchor the bracket that holds the fuel filter mounted deeper in the fuel tank.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Belt removal 1996 sable

Sounds like you're turning the mounting bolt for the tensioner. The bolt on the wheel where the belt makes contact is what you want to turn, and actually you want to pivot the wheel upward. This is what relieves the tension on the belt. The tensioner has a good deal of tension, so be careful when you let it back down. You'll want to pivot the tensioner counter clockwise.
As far as the DOHC goes - VIN #: S is the DOHC engine, and VIN#: U is the OHV engine. The VIN (vehicle ID Number) is on the driver side dash , and can be seen through the outside of the vehicle through the windshield. I'm not sure which location in the series of numbers the "U" or "S" will be, but within the series it will be a "U" or "S".
I hope this helps!
