I have a portable gas fire which sparks but does not light. It will light if I put a match to it. What could be the problem?

Check where the gas come out at the burner. It might have a partial block. You might be able to clean with small wire. Some times spiders make a nest or cheap gas does not burn clean which can block the opening.

Oil indicator light keeps flashing

You either have a broken indicator light or serious sending unit problems -- Take it to a dealer to have it repaired before ruining your motor from using it when the cylinder jackets are not getting properly lubricated under load.

Electric fuel pump will not turn

The motor has been sitting for a while and you try and start it... everything clicks but the electric fuel pump doesn't spin the whirl sound... first take your fuel system apart and clean it with sea foam a.d never carb cleaner as it is ******* seals and rubber, plastic etc. the boat mechanic will tell you you need a new 400$ pump... try this soak the fuel pump almost 3/4 submerged in an non aggressive cleaner like sea foam for 3 days... dry it, pull out the old heat gun and heat the side to a point where it is almost too hot to hold by hand.. Remember to keep waving the heat gun and rotating the pump. Then attach two small wires to the top of the pump where the electric powers it up... I use the red and black were from a electric tester ( the one with the dial . The end that hooks to the tester will fit perfectly over the blade on the fuel pump. And the probe end can easily touch the posts on a 12v battery.... so have this wire ready cause you have to move fairly fast. Once the heating is done place the wires on the fuel pump, and begin to touch the post of a 12v car battery with the two probes.. one on positive one on the negative side for 1 second then reverse the probes to the opposite post... for 1 second until the pump frees.. or 1 min passes... if it breaks free run some fuel through until it stops spitting out debris, if it doesn't tap the sides sharply with with a hard plastic hammer ( not steel) you must not hit it hard enough to dent it... re heat and try again.. it sounds like it's trying to spin but will not... soaked it again for 3 days and repeat. I haven't had that trick fail yet. .. ps.. if your seals are not quite fitting properly.. place them on a flat piece of white paper and let them dry for a day or two.. they will shrink. ..

Was using my B&D blower/vac, shut it off moved to another part of the yard and it wouldn't start again. The outlet works and so does the extension cord I was using. I checked them both with a light

Mine died because the carbon brushes on the motor wore out. Brushes were unavailable from anywhere that sold brushes. Take it apart and have a look at the brushes and then throw it in the trash. Maybe yours uses some standard size brushes that are available. Mine sparked a lot inside the housing before it finally quit.

Printer paper stuck and red light flashing .how can i restart it?

You can't restart until the jammed paper has been removed. If the paper is out and none torn or still stuck in the printer try turning the printer off and then back on. That should reset it.

Easter Flower Care

When Christmas arrives, shops and homes are filled with Easter flowers, or poinsettias, brightening the spaces with their red and green Christmas colors. This plant has become one of the most representative icons of our parties and it is rare the home that does not have one for those dates. Its success is due to its bracts or red leaves in the form of a star, which after the months become green and then redden again (there is also cream, white or pink). However, although we buy them precious, over time, as they pass the holidays, they begin to lose their flowers, wither and after a month or two they die. And is that the Christmas flower is a very strong plant, but if we do not take into account the basic care you need, we will not be able to keep it always beautiful and flowery. Choose a suitable plant When you go to buy an Easter flower, make sure that the specimen has a thick base and that there are healthy green leaves under the colored leaves that form the star. If you see that there are yellow leaves or damage to the leaves and/or shoots means that the plant is not well cared for. Be wary of plants whose soil is soaked or very dry, as it may be a sign that they are not regularly watering and this may have irreversibly damaged the roots. Do not buy plants that are found outdoors. The reason they are sold wrapped is that this plant suffers a lot of the blows produced by the low temperatures and in a few days it can lose its leaves almost completely. Make sure it is well guarded on your way home. Care of the Easter flower at home When you get home you must remove the wrapper from the plant to aerate it. Place it near a window where it receives good light and prevents it is very close to sources of heat such as radiators or air conditioners, as they dry the environment a lot and can damage the plant. Irrigation should be done directly in the pot, never wet the bracts and leaves, and moderately, as much water can rot the plant. When winter passes you can prune it and even plant it in a garden. When spring arrives it will begin to sprout and grow and will bloom again for Christmas. Care of the Easter flower in the garden If you're going to decorate your garden with poinsettias, keep in mind how sensitive they are to low temperatures. Look for the warmest areas for your location and those that may be protected by a wall both artificial and natural.
