Clock has first number partially out on LG stove/oven

Sad to say, there are many more displays where LED's fail. Lights have limited lifetime. Even when they are not so bright. The red, yellow or green characters consist of small LED chips on tiny wires inside a number of colored tubes. LED has individual cells mostly connected in series. Therefor one LED element can go out completely, even when it consists of more then one LED. You can repair by interchanging the display unit as a whole but only on the occasion when the display could be removed, the cable has a connector and when made readily available as part. It is wise to disconnect a device with such a display from the power when not in use. As I understand this display is comprehensive so you better rest your case and do as advised.

I have a LG air conditioner which seems stuck on defrost. It works fine in cooling but when on heat the defrost light comes.

Possibly a stuck or closed defrost sensor. The sensor gets to freezing which closes the switch. So the unit goes into defrost cycle which switches the flow of the freon on a Heatpump. The hot gas thaws the coil and the sensor. Which opens the switch and switches it back. I'm giving this answer without knowing more about the unit. Defrost light comes on & it doesn't run at all? LG system is a split unit or window unit or what? If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/thomas_868a5ee3bf9eea64

What causes a washing machine main PCB board to die?

110 volt home mains supply? 17.9 volts over is pushing it a bit if you get any voltage surges on top of that. Integrated Circuits have a relatively low tolerance. I would change machine brands.
