The check filter indicator is a reminder to clean the lint filter before each use to ensure effective drying every time. The indicator turns off when you turn the cycle knob to select a drying program or when the start/pause button is pressed.

It's difficult to determine exactly what may have fallen behind the panel of your LG DLE7100W dryer without a visual inspection. However, it's possible that you may have accidentally detached a small part or screw that was holding something in place.
The rolling sound that you're hearing when the dryer is turned on could be a loose part or screw that has fallen behind the panel and is now moving around inside the dryer. This could potentially cause damage to other components if left unaddressed.
I would recommend stopping any further attempts to disassemble the dryer and instead, contact a professional technician to inspect and repair the dryer. They can determine what may have fallen behind the panel and take the necessary steps to fix it safely and properly.
Unfortunately, without a picture of the symbol you are describing, it is difficult to give a precise answer. However, based on your description of the symbol and the accompanying burning plastic smell, it is possible that the symbol is indicating an issue with the dryer's motor or belt. The symbol you are describing with the oval and arrows could indicate a rotating part, such as a drum or belt, and the smell of burning plastic suggests that something in the motor or belt may have overheated and melted.
It is important to immediately stop using the dryer and unplug it from the electrical outlet until you can determine the cause of the issue and make any necessary repairs. It may be best to contact a professional technician or LG customer service for further assistance and to avoid causing any further damage to the dryer.
Not enough airflow, and the dryer producing too much heat. Check the vent at the rear, the hose and the flap on the outside wall for lint and obstructions.
have caused a power surge or outage that affected the dryer's electrical system. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
Check the dryer's manual for any specific troubleshooting steps or error codes that may be relevant to the issue you are experiencing.
Check the dryer's power cord and plug for any visible signs of damage. If the cord or plug is damaged, it may need to be replaced.
Check the outlet that the dryer is plugged into to make sure it is functioning properly. You can test the outlet with a different appliance to determine if it is the source of the problem.
If the issue persists, it is possible that there may be a problem with the dryer's electrical system or another internal component. In this case, it will likely be necessary to have a qualified technician inspect the machine to diagnose the problem and recommend the necessary repairs.

means that there is something wrong with the thermostat. I think there is a reset button(red) by heater at back. You will need to unplug the dryer: pull
off right access port cover, look in and left for thermostat hanging
down off of exhaust tube. Press button between the two wires going to
thermostat. It is a 3 minute operation if you can get to the right
side access port. I am not saying that is the problem but it may be Good Luck Tim
Unplug your dryer and turn off the circuit breaker for the dryer. Then press and hold the power and the start button for about 5 seconds,Next and then hold the pay and the pause button for approximately 5 seconds and plug the dryer back in and turn the circuit breaker back on too.The lint filter needs to be cleaned out. If the dryer still is not working it needs to be repaired.
Yes it's the thermal switch or high limit thermostat switch replace both cheap not the dryers fault it's clogged up with Lent you'll notice that when you take it apart this switch is to keep it from catching on fire from lack of maintenance.
I had this problem and I was able to fix it. The water pump was fried. That pump is between the water reservoir and the steam generator. It apparently is the water detection sensor as well. The part was easy to replace-- it's literally a drop in part. All you need to do is take off the top of the dryer, unplug the leads to the pump, pull it out, and put the new one in. The part was about $100.
If you need to replace a control panel, I strongly advise you to have it done professionally. That way you get correct diagnosis and warranty on the work. If is old than 10 years, replace the whole thing as spares are now discontinued by the maker. Crazy but true!
