LDS5540ST dishwasher runs and at end of cycle displays error code "HE"..
Your dishwasher washes & rinses fine, you are having a problem with the drying part of the washer. It's the heating element. But just to be sure, clean out the bottom of the washer. You can simple unscrew the plastic nut from the bottom, lift off the cover & remove all debris. replace cover & nut. You could try to run the washer empty & let it have a good cleaning(I do this once a month) Cleaning the washer probably won't help the unit go into the dry cycle, but it is something you should do monthly, for PM. If you know someone handy they can replace the heating unit ordered from LG or your Manuel may give you some places.(or off the web) AND if you are lucky & the dishwasher is less than 1 year old it's still under warranty for parts only. Labor is what gets you. Again, most people know someone who is handy. Sorry I couldn't give you good news.
LE code on LG dishwasher. Already tried resetting by flipping breaker then holding start button 5 seconds.
Does anyone know how to fix this error code?
It looks like the LE code means the motor is under a larger load than expected.
I am not sure but it may be worth checking the impeller that pumps water at the bottom of the unit. I had one that made contact with the bottom of the filter cover and melt the plastics to each-other which caused a different error code that basically translates to the motor failed. In this case my motor wouldn't move at all, Yours may still be moving, but the additional friction could be throwing the code and stopping the load.
The easiest way to check is to remove the drawers in the unit and open up the sending unit cover in the bottom (as if you were going to replace the impeller), It is usually somewhere around 8 screws and should come off relatively easily, If not, look for missed screws. Check the top of the impeller and the bottom of the impeller cover for any signs of contact. I had signs on the bottom of the filter, I scraped the melted plastic off of the cover and the impeller, reassembled and my issue went away. Hopefully yours is the same. Good luck.
How do I change out a pump motor on an LG direct drive dishwasher
First things first, safety is always first so put on gloves, eye protection, etc. but most importantly turnoff the breaker that supplies power to the dishwasher, you'll find this in your home's main breaker box/fuse panel. Verify it's off by attempting to power the dishwasher on after turning off power at the breaker! Now, remove it from underneath your countertop or wherever it is, carefully unhook all electrical connections and hoses, swap out the pump, it's simple, accessing it is more troublesome than actually doing it!
My LG (LD-2120W) DISHWASHER KEEPS SAYING IE ERROR EVERYTIME I USE IT NOT LONG THRU THE CYCLE ?? PLEASE HELP
I had a similar issue, I am not sure if this will your issue or not, but it is worth a shot. Mine would do this about 4 minutes into the cycle after it had pumped water into the unit, Started after about 8 months of use.
The issue was actually the impeller that pumps water around from the base of the unit. It was making contact with the filter/cover over it, causing it to spin too slowly and throw the error.
Both dish drawers had to be removed and about 8 screws in that secure the filter in the bottom of the unit. When you get the cover off check to see if anything is impeding the impeller, If not, Look at the bottom side of the cover. Mine had white streaks in a circular fashion. I scraped off the white plastic swirls with a chisel and verified the top of the impeller was smooth as well. Reassembled and it worked again.
Hope this helps.
New LG dishwasher 3 months. Getting nE error. Book says vario motor trouble. Is there an easy fix or do I have to get a new motor?

LG Dishwasher Model # LDF7561ST does not drain completely at the end of the cycle
Check float valve actuator, might be indicating empty when water left behind. Think you can hear switch actuate as you move it.So no clog or twist in drain hose? Manual indicates any standing water drains in first 45 secs. Makes me wonder if that is now normal. Was it always or just started to leave water....Make sure you clean filter located in bottom
I have an lg dishwasher that showed an ie error so I fitted a new inlet valve It now shows an FE code?
The drain pump automatically runs when the FE code is displayed. A leaking water inlet valve or a stuck relay on the electronic control board can allow water to fill the dishwasher constantly. To check for a leaky water inlet valve, unplug the dishwasher and see if the tub continues to fill with water. If it does, shut off the water supply and replace the water inlet valve because the valve is letting water to flow into the dishwasher constantly. If water stops filling when you unplug the dishwasher, then you'll likely need to replace the electronic control board because the control board is constantly sending current to the water inlet valve
Lg Manuel for dishwasher 309 1879
Dishwasher stopped and displayed an error message of "OE".
What does this OE mean.
OE indicates a drain error. Your model number doesn't fit the usual pattern for LG dishwashers; LDT5665WW and LDS4821WW are a couple of recent model numbers.
To start diagnosing and fixing the OE error, first check the discharge hose. Make sure that it isn't clogged, kinked or improperly positioned. Make sure that the pipe or food disposer that the drain hose connects to isn't clogged. (Check into the rest of the drain pipe if needed.)
Next check that the float switch inside the dishwasher isn't blocked. This indicates the water level and if a foreign object is holding it open, the dishwasher will continue to try to drain the water.
Finally check for any blockage in the drain pump. Also check the pump for obvious damage. If the pump is damaged, replace it.
After you've checked and fixed (as needed) the above issues, try the dishwasher again. If the OE code recurs, then you need to replace the drain motor pump assembly.
If your dishwasher is under warranty, contact LG. Otherwise, please check and post your machine's model number. I can check to see if the parts are available.
I hope this helps.
