CH 01 Error means that the temperature sensor/bucket switch is bad and should be replaced, replacing it yourself will cost you around $30 & 2 hours of your precious time J. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Make sure that the water full detection switch is not stuck in the full position. Its a plastic piece near the top side and when the water level gets high enough it floats the piece up to turn off the unit. It can sometimes get misaligned when changing the bucket and stuck in the off position.
