defective cartdge , replace it

hmmm...paperman..that's unusual to say the least..

I know your problem. I just put in new cartridges and it will print the test page, but nothing else. Did you get an answer

CLick on Start, printers and faxes, right click on your printer icon, click on properties.

There should be a tick box to allow you to reset the cartridges to new....

A 902 Service Engine Software error indicates a failure in the engine board software, power off clear print que on pc print driver then power up if problem persisits see this link

there is a Printhead error - No first sync

Remove the jammed paper by gently pulling it straight out of the MFp

Please try to do the following steps

1. Reseat all cartridges and Imaging Basket.

2. Remove Imaging Unit. To see the complete instructions on how to remove/replace the Imaging Unit, click this link http://bit.ly/jhK9fF

3. Clean the HVPS and POGO pins and the corresponding electrical contact on the Imaging Unit with a clean, dry cloth. Click link http://bit.ly/qxU9mD to see the POGO pins location.

4. Replace all cartridges and Image Basket (you need to send bad cartridges back).If issue not resolve, contact Lexmark Technical Support

After powering up the printer, press Menu, * key, # key (do not hold them, just press and release). You should see a secret menu, the first option being "Serial number". From there, I scrolled down to Network menu -> NVRAM reset to reset the network card. There also seems to be a Utilities menu which allows a full system reset.

Same problem. Turned out to be a small nut lodged in the array of small rollers, just behind the ink cartridges. Managed to lift the roller bar at one corner, and shake it out.

the rollers may be dirty or there is a small piece of paper stuck down in one of the tracks or channels..

You can't use remanufactured or third party copies. Genuine only. If you are disconnect overnight or do a reset.

The cartridge toner chip no work, change it.

Make sure the cartridge is genuine. If yes, uninstall and reinstall the pc unit and the toner cartridge. If you get the same error a firmware fix may resolve the problem. Please contact Lexmark Technical Support for further assistance.

This may have something to do with the contact springs. Cleaning the toner contact springs with a cloth damped with a bit of alcohol will make continuity more sensitive to the toner cartridge chip. If problem persists, I strongly suggest you contact Lexmark technical support for further assistance. Thanks.
