The blinking WiFi light on your printer indicates either your printer is trying to communicate with your wireless network or your printer is not connected at all. For a quick fix, try to disconnect your printer from the power outlet. Power cycle your router and reboot your computer. Then, power on your router first, then your printer and lastly your computer. Check the WiFi light on your printer. If it goes to a solid green, that means you are connected back in your network. If not, you may reset your printer's wireless network adapter to its default settings. From the printer operator panel, press the Setup button > Network Setup > Reset Network Adapter to Default. The WiFi light on your printer will momentarily turn off then back on solid orange. Solution: If you replace the toner cartridge and the 'Toner Low' message remains, the printer may need to be reset. To do so, power off the printer. • The toner cartridge you just installed is a brand new toner cartridge and not a used one.

Hello there This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.
And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Also clean The purge unit, called a spittoon assembly in an HP, Lexmark, Caonon and other inkjet printers, is where the print head assembly parks when not in use, also its other job is to clean and make sure the print head is clean and open for printing.

That is where you'll find the print head assembly parked on top of it.
It also has an electrical pump to milk the print heads and test for ink flow.

So clean all under where the heads are parked and on IP6600D models you can take out the heads just by clipping them out, and then clean well.

The flashing light could indicate either a communication problem between one of your cartridges and the printer, a short in one of the cartridges, paper jam or the cartridge carrier has stalled. Please follow the steps below to fix the problem:

1. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder. Make sure there are no foreign objects or debris in the feeder.

2. Open the printer cover and remove both the cartridges.

3. While the cover is open, ensure there are no paper jams and the cartridge carrier is free from obstructions.

4. Close the printer cover.

5. Rebrick (pull out power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds).

6. When the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first.

7. Close the printer cover and check the light status.

8. If light on printer is normal, open the printer cover and reinsert the other cartridge. Check the light status.

9. Replace whichever cartridge is causing the light to flash with a new cartridge. You can also try to insert a different known working cartridge to determine if the other is faulty.

10. Load some paper. Try to print again.

You won't be able to print if one of the cartridges is out of ink. The printer needs all cartridges with sufficient ink levels to prevent damaging the printhead.Every time a cartridge is replaced, all colors are primed simultaneously thus the need for all cartridges to have ink.

You did not say what version of windows you are using but the most common fix is to delete the printer and if it asks if you want to delete the driver files say YES. Then reboot the computer and it should reinstall the printer.

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this, is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.

If job prints from the wrong tray or on the wrong paper or specialty media, this is an indication that the operator panel menu settings do not match the media loaded in the tray.

Make sure the Paper Size and Paper Type specified in the printer driver match the paper size and type in the tray.

You need to be sure you add the duplex unit and tray unit in the windows driver. The "device" tab will allow you to add the duplex and tray to the
printer.

2 things
1st make sure the paper guides are set correctly on the trays for legal make sure it's exactly on legal or it put the tray into universal mode. (To clarfiy the guides in the back which allow you to put legal in the tray.)
2nd Go into menu and then to paper menu and adjust/ confirm the settings for tray 1 and 2. Based on your question tray 1 is letter and tray 2 is legal, so make sure both of the tray size and type are set correct.

To enable bi directional printing:
Open Printers and Faxes in control Panel
Right Click on the Printers Icon
Select PROPERTIES
In the Properties dialog box select the PORTS tab
Near the bottom there is a check box to enable Bi-directional printing
Make sure it is checked
Click OK to exit the dialog box
