Lexicon alpha and gxl2200 microphone

Are you trying to use the mic input on the back or plugging it into the instrument input on the front? If you use a low impedance mic with a quarter inch instrument input cord, you would need a transformer adapter to make the mic work on high impedance. Even if you put it on line in, you would still have to convert it. Only the XLR socket on the back will work on a low impedance mic.

Lexicon RV-8 wakupe failure

Did you try this....

In the event of a power outage, the RV-8 will display a BROWN
OUT!! PRESS STANDBY message. To turn the unit on, use the
STANDBY button. For more information, see “POWER
MANAGEMENT” on page 3-3....

POWER MANAGEMENT ON, OFF

"Setup" >> "Power Management"

Opens the POWER MANAGEMENT menu, which is used to automatically
put the RV-8 into standby mode during brownouts.
When set to ON, the RV-8 detects low voltage levels or a momentary
loss of power and puts the device in standby mode. In the event of a
power brown out, the RV-8 will display a BROWN OUT!! PRESS
STANDBY message. To turn the unit back on, use the front panel
STANDYBY button.

When set to OFF, the RV-8 will attempt to function during a
momentary power loss, however software settings may become
corrupt and need to be reset.
When the RV-8 is in standby mode, pressing the button turns the
unit on and activates all zones that were active in the previous
operating session.

The RV-8 does not power on.
1. Make sure the rear-panel power switch is set to the | (“on”)
position.
2. Attempt to power on the RV-8 with the front-panel Standby
button and remote control On button.
3. Examine the power cord to ensure a good connection between
the rear-panel AC input connector and the wall outlet.
4. Check the electrical circuit and breaker.

Lexicon mx 200 preset knob frozen

If unt was dropped, look for broken PC board in the vicinity of the rotary encoder. Also look at solder connections to make sure they are sound. A little contact cleaner applied to encoder through an opening so the spray gets inside will help clean contacts. If the knob itself is hard to turn, the shaft is likely bent, and there may be damage to the encoder itself.

Lexicon driver

There is a major design flaw with the Omega. The ribbon cable touches one of the power tabs that tends to get very hot. this causes the ribbon cable to melt and damages it.

If you open up the case you will se it straight away.

If it is under warranty take it in to be repaired. It is a simple repair and should cost yo nothing.

Otherwise buy a new ribbon cable (I'm guessing most computer shops would sell them). Rplace the old cable with the new one then insulate the new ribbon cable (with electrical tape or something stronger) where it touches the power tab.

I also drilled a few holes in the top and sides of the case (do this carefully as the case is weak).

Be aware tho that drilling holes or altering the case will void your warranty.
